Hello everybody and welcome back to Plug In for player Four.
I am Mark and I am accompanied by Brandon and Ethan.
This was already in the last. Episode.
We never talked about it though. Yeah, we never talked.
About it. Yeah, yeah, a big old group,
lethal company with the three of us, Jack and Emma.
Yeah, I. Ran Ethan over Oh.
My God, that was so fucking funny.
I'm not sure anybody who saw it, but I got I was, I was in the
back of the truck and the door was closed.
So I'm trying to figure out how to open up the truck.
I remember they actually have to like open it from the looking at
the base of the door. So I open it, hop out, stand
there, and at this point Brandon started gunning it and.
All the wheel all. The way to the right.
So he goes around and comes right up to me and fucking
clobbers me. I'm just standing there just
watching him just go. It was so fucking funny.
It was so fucking funny. I wish I tried to record it.
I wish I could have. It, it was because from my
perspective, yeah, I'm like going in a fucking circle and
shit and it's like make another circle.
I'm like, oh, he's dead. Oh shit.
Did you even notice when you hit me the first time?
No, I didn't notice nothing. I just.
Smack. Just see you fucking on the
ground dead shit. Oh shit.
It's got a little bit complete. But yeah, the the truck, truck,
truck, truck, truck, truck, truck is when I was trying to
get the truck back to the ship we were on.
Oh, man, it wasn't Monitoria Val.
Yeah, Val. That's what it was we.
Were on Val and the truck was in the pit like where the where the
bridges and so I'm driving this fucker and if I'm going to be
honest, I am kind of the best one to drive the truck honestly.
Yeah, yeah, 'cause I just, I, I just kind of figured it out one
day. As soon as I put it in in drive,
I'm like as I'm go trying to go full gassing it up this hill,
turning it to the right to get even more up the hill, over the
over the Cliff, whatever, and onto flat ground and the entire
time just me and Mark. I just love it.
All of the trees were breaking along the way too.
And I was, I was dead. I was dead.
At this point, so I'm just watching them.
Yeah. And I just joined in the truck,
truck, truck, truck, truck, truck, truck.
Well, the first, my first attempt fails and I go all the
way back down, but I I turn it around and I just try again,
like just in one smooth motion to truck, truck, truck.
Truck, truck, truck, truck, truck, truck, truck, truck,
truck, truck, truck, truck, truck.
Well, the first, my first attempt fails and I go all the
way back down, but I, I turn it around and I just try again,
like just in one smooth motion and try to go back up the hill.
The second time I get stuck a little bit and Mark's like, oh,
I got you. I'm trying to stop.
I got you, I got you. Don't worry.
Couple more trees gone just. You don't have to really hit the
trees that hard for them to just fucking explode like.
There was the time where, oh God, fucking somebody put gas in
the tank and blasted it somewhere, I don't remember
where. That was me.
I filled it up with weed killer. I'm like OK, cool.
I think I was in the hood too. Jack looked at me because he was
in the passenger seat. He was like, all right, take
off. My dumbass.
Didn't move it out of park. Oh, that's right.
So you gunned it and you weren't moving.
So did he Fucking didn't explode so.
He's like, all right, take off. And then it's like a break to
fly. OK, you're flying butt and.
Then I was a fucking menace. The first round we did.
There was something I did where I think I took you out, Brandon.
I can't remember. Like in terms of laughing, I
can't remember. But then the fucking run
basically ended with me leaving Mark on the OR on the at the
company and I'm like, I was just waiting here.
I'm like, I'm just going to, I'm just going to give him a little
bit. And because Mark went to go get
walkie talkies and flashlights, I'm like, all right, pulls,
pulls the lever and flies away. And he's like, Oh my, you are so
mad. You are so.
Mad. I was like, we struggled so much
to get this far. That's.
What it was, I can't say it, but when we first landed on the moon
and I said when I said it to Mark, I was like, whoa.
Literally the 1st fucking run I'm like holy I was like whoa.
Whoa boy, whoa, fuck, I forgot about that.
I. Was like, let's take this back a
couple of please pieces. Good.
This also reminds me of with playing Lethal.
The fucking truck for you Mark. Like you take the fucking key
out of the ignition, get out of it, and it just goes backwards.
Like what is this I? Was so pissed like why have you
in park? At the park and he took it the
fucking key out I. Took the key out, put it in the
park and it just. Was this while I was still
alive? I.
Think. I think so.
Because everybody else was dead, baby.
And I was like, all right, we need to load up the bodies and
just try to salvage the situation as much as possible.
And then it backed up into you. At some point, well, well, there
was there was the one time where I think everybody was dead
except for Mark and me. And you know, us three had our
cameras on and I go to like, all right, I guess I'm just going to
teleport because we because Mark actually bought the fucking
teleporter. So I'm like, all right, you
know, I'm just going to go inside the inside the using the
teleporter. I teleport and as soon as I
walk, as soon as I'm inside, I just hear a a bug just past me
with I think Emma's dead body or someone just walking past me.
Brandon, you were dying of laughter.
Yeah, I thought you were watching me.
Now you're watching Mark fucking with the truck.
And I'm like, I'm just like, as I'm, as I'm panning my camera as
the the bug walks past me, I'm like, whoa, literally I
teleported in and there's just like a bug carrying my friend's
body. I'm like, oh, you can't.
You can't make this shit up. You can't then.
We had the mods on so it's passing by.
It's like yippee. Yippee Lethal, like Lethal and
Repo are the two games that just the most fuck shit happens.
I'll give the most chaos. I think Lethal's funnier though.
It it? Yes.
Lethal in that regard, yes. Or it's just instantaneous
death? Yes.
Yes God fucking watching Emma try to do a jump in the facility
and she didn't jump in time so she just went in the hole.
Oh, that's right. And I'm like what the?
And of course I had to say, well, we're just on the basic
planet, so nobody should have died by now.
Yeah. And I'm like, yeah.
Because Mark was like, you think they're dead?
I'm like, no, they can't be. He jumps so that I feel the
jump. I'm carrying something.
Here's. Yeah, like and and I'm walking
away because, you know, Mark, we were being chased by something.
I actually am running away. And did I hear Mark?
Like hello or whatever You you said something.
I'm like, Mark, you're like, I'm here.
I'm like, can you, can you get out or like, can you come to me?
Like my voice here, you know, come, come my way.
Because it was it was a dark. It was a yeah, it was dark.
We didn't have any flash. Then we can follow.
My voice is like, I can't. What do you mean he can't?
I'm in the pit. Yeah, you didn't die for some
fucking reason. Around at the palm of the pit,
I'm like, what did? You survive.
I don't know, just walking around to see your body and in
this body. So I'm propping you guys up on
the wall. I'm like, all right, it's time
for a tea party. Oh God, here we go that.
Reminds me of the time where I think you died or it was either
you were Brand or Mark. One of you two died and this was
a layering, a lightning storm, and there was just a trail of
blood in that direction. That's right.
That was you because you were like, treat me like come on,
come on, find my body. You can do it, please.
I was following the blood trail and it just stopped.
I'm like, oh, OK, all right, whatever.
It's like. So I go back to where I
originally. Well this is by the fire escape
in the 1st planet then whatever and I'm like but I I can't find
Mark's body and so I follow the blood trail and I go even
further. You get hit by lightning and
flew. My God flew.
And I finally find his body and Mark was like, yeah, yeah.
I I, I was being like a Harry Potter.
Please take my body back to my father.
Hey, I remember you were like Ethan.
Please be a detective and find my body.
You can do this I think. You do this, I believe.
God, Lethal's such a fun time. It's stand with that that like
pretty big update that Zee Cruz is working on I think will be
out soon. Oh really?
It's either going to be, I know he he wanted to try to release
it this month, but it might go into April.
OK. I just take as much time as you
need, man. Really, you know, like it's
going to be a pretty significant update.
Oh, that's going to be so cool. So it's like, it's kind of like
seeing that kind of relit a spark in me for lethal.
Yeah, I bet this is probably going to be the final update for
the game though. No, he's going to still.
He's still going to be. Working Well, The thing is that
the the last time I played that reunited a spark.
I'm like, you know what? This is actually fucking fun
because, yeah, I wasn't originally going to join you,
but, you know, there's a there's a lot of times where you guys
play a game and I'm like, I'll leave him to it, but I'm just
like, you know what? I'll join him this time.
Yeah. And my God, I was an arbiter of
chaos. Yes, Sir.
But that's just the whole thing about the lethal.
It's like it's it's one of those games you can play a lot of it
and then you burn yourself out. Yeah.
Right. But then when you go back, it's
like nothing changed. Yeah, And you were like, oh, I'm
gonna get you. I'm gonna get you.
I'm like, no, you're not, you're not.
And I fall on the Cliff and you're like, why did you do
that? Yeah, hell, would you fucking?
Why did you do that? Yeah, you just jumped into the
pit. Yeah.
Because I'm like, you're not going to get me.
I'm not going to get. Me to get you and it just I'm my
face probably said it all. I just see you just jump and I'm
like, why? Why would you do this?
And then Mark comes back in. Hey Mark, Ethan's dead.
No, he's in the pit. You know we never got the the
underground layout. Yeah, no, we never did that run
like at all. What run is it?
Wait, what? You never got the the mines or
whatever. Yeah, we never got one of the
mines maps, no, Yeah. Yeah, usually we got that a lot.
Oh yeah, hell of a lot. Yes, we do.
And I think we got, we kind of got sick of it, but then no, not
now thinking about it, all that shit.
Yeah. I mean, I don't, I don't mind
the industrial. Yeah.
No now Now I really like the mansion layouts and whatnot.
I think that also has. Changed.
Really. And also I think it's Dine and
the other two like Titan moons or whatever.
Yeah, the paid moons. Yeah, the expensive ones.
The I think it's if you get the mansion layout, all the items
are body parts. Yeah, yeah, they change that to
be. Yeah, oh it's fucked, but it's
like it. But it makes sense from a war
perspective because of the the Butler.
Yeah. Gotcha.
So yeah, you're picking up hands, arms.
That's that's fucked up. Yep, I would also mention they.
Flap. I hate that.
Go back and go back to scrap. I hate that.
I actually hate that. All righty.
I guess this is a good time for us to segue into our actual
topic for today. Man, we were on that segment for
a long. That's all right.
Man, all right. Favorite video game villains?
Yes, yes, the FVV. Think you're funny, don't you?
Yes. OK.
Yeah, let's talk about favorite video game villains from all of
the games that we have played. There's a lot of those.
Yeah, there's a lot of villains. There's also a lot of games.
Yes there is. Yes, there is.
Who wants to start this off? Mr. Brandon?
Do you want to start? Off that's false, I sure.
Do Joe. What the fuck was there?
That was a dying dog. No dog, please.
No, don't pick that one. No, don't do that.
You stepped on the wrong one that.
Fucking if I. Love it someone.
OK, so yes, video game villain. Yeah.
I guess I'll I'll start off with Mr. X from Resident Evil.
All right, let's talk about Mr. X.
Because of the. Let's go and give it to you,
yeah? Because of all the fucking
memes, man. When the remake for 2 came out,
I think I even made a a Todd TikTok video with that.
Really. Yeah.
Like I literally did like him busting through a door and you
just see Todd get fucking. That's great.
Go and give it to you. That is actually great.
Yeah, no, the I just, I like Mr. Rex more specifically in the
remake. Because.
He's a really a constant threat instead of the original game
where he's only in kind of like certain areas now that could be
from maybe a like a technology probably.
Well, you. They couldn't have him just
walking. Around.
Aren't you going through a house and he's following you around
during the second-half or something?
So it it's you see Mr. X in your second playthrough, so whichever
character you play first, when you play them, the next
character will be the one that has to deal with.
OK. Now with the remake, both
characters deal with him. He's.
Honestly pretty smart. Yeah, I just like him for, like
I said, with the remake just him being a constant threat.
Now, you can, you know, get away from him pretty easily.
But she, if you have headphones on especially, you can hear him
wherever he's at just because of how heavy he is.
Nice. So you can hear him like
upstairs you're hearing bang, bang, bang or whatever.
And once you're in the same room as him, you dead.
You hear him coming at you. Jesus fucking Christ.
Especially when you're in the main hall of the RPD, it echoes
in there. So you hear his footsteps echo
once he sees you, It's like, because the, well, the thing
that sucks is like when you're trying to take out zombies when
you're shooting them, you're making noise and.
Then it comes. Yeah.
So it's it's honestly really cool because at first I didn't
know how to feel about him because this was the first time
I ever played just RE2IN general.
But after playing the original, which the original is fucking
fantastic. Yeah, I guess gave me more of an
appreciation for him because like I said, the original game
they had him in certain sections more so for like anxiety.
And some of them are like kind of a jump scare because there's
a a certain area in the RPDI think it's the basement where he
can breakthrough a wall. And that happened so suddenly
that yeah, it scares the shit out of you just how the the
camera angle is placed because the originals had the fixed
cameras. They had the the one fixed
camera that you go past actually faces that wall.
So that's what gets you because it cut like when you get to that
camera, you know the IT cuts to that one and it and that
happens. You see him bust through and
it's like fuck you. He also fucking sucks when he
hits you. It's bad.
Just the way he punches and, and there's getting around him can
be kind of a pain in the ass 'cause even if you, you can like
Duke him out where he punches and you like back up, he was
like, oh, that's cool, you know, try to go around him.
No, he grabs you and. Throws you.
Oh boy, and. It's like you motherfucker,
bastard, or when you like me, ran into a room, didn't know he
was right there and he punched me and it scared the ever living
shit out of me. A lot of words came out of my
mouth. He's just menacing and just and,
and, and the way that they like introduce him like in the remake
where you're trying to go through that one hallway and he
fucking lifts up the God damn helicopter.
Yeah. And, you know, fucking Leon.
Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ.
Like fuck man. And then you just.
Like I love the clips of him dodging just rocket launcher
shots. God, like, he's he.
He's definitely an interesting villain because he's then the
final, final boss for Leon. Yeah.
Yeah, I think it's the final boss for Leon, for Claire.
I think it's somebody else. I can't remember.
Yeah, a really cool boss fight too, as he just like mutates
because the the the the way Mr. X works is he's you know, has a
like the fedora and then the trench coat is supposed to be
used for making him look more human and kind of blends in.
But I mean, you can kind of tell by this the the grey skin like
something's wrong. But I mean, it, it does, it
would work in a lot of cases, but.
The thing is, they have something in his temple right
here. It's like a little device that
sits here that keeps him from mutating.
And when it gets destroyed, he then mutates.
And the problem with that is now his heart is shown, so it's a
weak spot. So you could take him out.
So that's why I think Umbrella did that for a reason.
Just, you know, keep him from mutating.
But the I, I, I will say this, the tyrant that you see in the
new game that looks like Mr. X, it's technically a Mr. X, but it
is not the same. It is a more up to date version
of the tyrant because I think the original tyrant was like a
one O one or two O 2 or something.
This one was like A50 something series.
So it's a lot a. Lot more refined.
It's a lot more refined, a lot stronger, but has again the same
problem with this thing here. So when Leon shoots that like
missile that Mister X was holding destroyed this, which
caused them to mutate. So it's just a, it's just
another flaw, the same flaw, but it when they mutate like that,
they become the Super tyrant, which is a motherfucker.
As you can see, he throws cars at you.
I mean you can just parry the cars, it's OK.
I've never tried parrying the car.
Dude, parry the car, it's great. Fuck God, Leon makes no goddamn
sense. He doesn't have to.
He's a buff 80 year old. 80, he's 50.
Awesome. So it's funny, some people say
he's 49, some people say he's 50.
If you do the math, he's born in 1977.
He's going to be in his 50s this year, 2026.
So there you go, he's 50. Neat.
Put it to rest. Neat.
So yeah, it's Rex X going to give it to you.
Hell yeah, you go. You.
Me. You.
Have one. I do.
Good. The balloons from balloons tart
offense. Gosh fucking damn it is that.
Cow. Yeah, the balloons are the
enemy. I.
Fucking get hell. Hey, you die.
Shit. Don't mind me, I'm just taking
off. My yeah dude, the.
Evil. The evil.
Camo leads, you know, you have to have both camo popping
ability and camo. Sorry, yeah, lead popping
ability and camo detection. Also the purple balloons.
And if you have magic monkeys. Oh man, this.
No, I do want to talk about Borderlands 3.
OK. There we go.
There's one, you asshole. It's not, it's definitely not
the twins. Definitely not OK.
I know. I mean, yeah, they, they were
really just God awful. I wish.
These two were the the main characters of this game, or the
main villains of this game, because they were so goddamn
infinitely better and funnier, the Tron brothers.
Ah, yeah. Hello, monks.
I'm taking this place by forceful invitation or whatever.
How like how he has talked. This is like, like, what is it?
I think his name is Captain Tron.
And he's like, oppression is my profession, the whole point.
Of the characters was they were making fun of, oh God, those two
magic guys. It's the really big guy and the
really, oh, Penn and Teller, Penn and Teller.
No, no. No, that's.
That's there's an actual boss of that.
Oh, OK. Yeah, that was in the fucking.
Thunderdome rolling around the wasteland.
I get to experience the fucking boss fight.
I got stuck underneath the map. The Tron brothers are different
that that one you fight in I think Athena or whatever were
it's pretty early on in the game, but OK.
There's like Captain Tron, which I find fucking hilarious, but
then there's I think Lieutenant Tron or something like that.
It's another Tron, and this guy is just like his brother and
he's like, I got a Vantage. My Vantage is my greatest
advantage. Oh, that's bad.
That's. Really bad.
Oh God, what the fuck God. It's so fucking funny.
You're so fucking. Stupid.
And when going back to Cat, Captain Trot, when he when he
enters, he's like Trot. The way they.
Introduced themselves. It's so fucking funny to me.
I love it. It would have been infinitely
better than the goddamn twins that we got.
It would have. It would have.
Rivaled a Handsome Jack? Yeah, it would have.
Straight up. Rivaled, if not beaten, Handsome
Jack. Handsome Jack, man.
Still an iconic. Villain.
Oh yeah. Oh yes.
Very, Yeah. I I, I I.
Just wish the Borderland games kept up.
He he's. Definitely dropped in the ranks.
He's no longer my favorite villain.
Yeah, he's pretty. He's really good, Don't get me
wrong. Yeah, it's just they keep using
him as a crutch. They keep bringing him back.
It's like, how many times can you bring him back?
Really. Just let him fucking die.
Let him go get the He's died. I was OK I.
Was like, I guess you could have the double with the prequels,
but it it just that makes sense because you're.
Also going through the story of, you know, how Cancer Jack became
evil? Yeah, yeah.
But but again, it's like in the later games, they just kept
trying to I know in in Borderlands.
Three, they brought him back with a whole fucking DLC of
Handsome Jack and like, yeah, it, it was a good DLC, don't get
me wrong, but it's like, how many times can you use Handsome
Jack before just letting him like just let him fucking die.
Let him die. Tell a different story.
Exactly. Oh, because Oh yeah, your twins
failed. Use the fucking Tron brothers.
It would have worked out perfectly.
I swear to fucking God. Yeah, it's it's all because
Borderlands is all about those, those funny quips and
everything. It's about the absurdity.
Of it and I think they just kind of lost they really did they
lost cause the with three it felt like they went more for
toilet humor really easy humor just it it felt like a huge miss
because I mean a a lot of. The a lot of the.
Old humor was you had to think about it a little bit.
Well, they also tried to go for. Memes like they had they had an
area called Big Dock Energy and then they also had a side
mission where it's like, Oh yes, I need the big suck.
I'm like, that's like 4 years too late, buddy.
Yeah, big. Suck.
Get off the boomer. Humor.
Let's go. Yeah, like.
That was a meme that was four years too late.
Come on. It's funny, I tried.
Replaying the original Borderlands and I totally forgot
that there is a huge difficulty spike in the way beginning of
the game. I forgot about that once you
beat the first boss. It's like I'm just, I'm just
screwed. I'm screwed.
Even even getting to the point to beat bonehead is just
annoying. Bonehead is an.
Optional he's a side mission but yeah like the first one is a
fucking 9 toes yeah like it just difficulty just.
I like it, just damn. Just bad, yes.
Like it's. Fucked up, yeah, but it's such a
good game. Yeah, it really is, I think.
It still holds up. I played through it once, but
yeah, it's. It's good you.
Just got to get past that bullshit.
Yeah, yeah. Honestly, that that's what helps
make the game have memorable moments, is just finally getting
past that wall and into the next area.
I've said it since the fucking beginning, just it and I've said
it three times already, but it had they used the Trump
brothers, I swear to God, they would have, you know, been
fucking perfect. I've never seen anybody say that
opinion, but I swear to God, it would have been fucking perfect.
It would have been what they were looking for as a as a main
villain I mean. But they were.
They were. Assigned to throw away
characters. I'm like, are you kidding me?
I understand that they want. To be like, Oh yeah, we're going
to poke fun at streamers, but you need somebody with a lot
more personality. Yeah, other than.
I'm going to kill you. Ha ha.
Yeah. That was that was their whole
personality. And then Troy was like, Oh yeah,
I'm so. Edgy.
And then I just die. Yeah, I'm so edgy.
Shut. Up.
Yeah, Shut up, Troy. Like can can you let your
brother fucking speak? Yeah.
Or then and then and then it just got really weird because it
was like, Oh yeah, they're both sirens, but it's like you've
established in the lore that only women are sirens.
And then, well, he was a Leech. Yeah.
And then it. It wasn't it just it just.
Started getting really weird being like, Oh yeah, now Tanis
is a is a siren too, 'cause she just got the powers.
Well, yeah. Because Maya passed on her
powers too. Yeah, I.
I, I, I personally thought it was a lot along the lines of, Oh
yeah, we'll just, you're Born This Way and you grow up
developing your powers, not just, oh, I'll just tag a friend
as I die. I mean just.
Just take my load. Out dude, don't waste it, just
take my load out I mean. Fair enough.
I I can see that, but also I guess I don't really mind the
explanation anyway. Anyway, back to villains.
Back to villains do. You guys want me to go or?
Do you? Yeah.
Yeah, you go. Yeah.
I want to bring. Back an oldie back from.
Oh God, what year was it? Like 2007?
Yep, exactly that one. Commander Shepard.
Oh, it was a Modern Warfare series.
Oh, OK. The original, yeah.
That motherfucker. That.
That just the whole build up of his twist villain was just so
unexpected in that game. Yeah.
They're just in modern. Warfare 2 because throughout the
entirety you you're not even expecting it, no.
And he fucking shoots. Ghost.
Yeah, he just shoots. You in Ghosts and then just the
the whole build up, it just comes out of the blue.
But you having the having the back story just makes a lot of
sense, yeah. Yeah, now that that that was a
very big twist. Yeah.
But being able to throw a knife at him and kill him, that was
cool. Oh, that was so satisfying.
Fucking eye Just. That the whole.
Ending sequence with, oh, we're on the boats, we're trying to
get a good shot at him, and then just all of a sudden go off the
fucking waterfall and we're in the rust map.
Yeah, that was that. Was cool 1V1 intervention.
Only. No throwing back only.
Fuck, yeah. But yeah, just just in that
final sequence. So just the whole point of all
right, we're blowing up The Cave base.
We're getting in there. He's found that he's got a cave
river that he's going down. Then we're just going through
the whole sequence of just one after the next, after the next,
after the next. It's all just just finally you
get stabbed with the with the fucking knife and you're you're
spamming the button just to pull it out of you just slowly.
You just didn't nail him in the eye.
Yeah, that that was that. Was fucking cool.
Yeah, yeah, no, that was cool, yeah.
Pretty interesting villain. I'm I'm happy that.
Activision really cooked with that with with his character in
that game. And then and then did.
You see the remake for Yeah they did like.
Like kind of a remake thing for the campaign, yeah.
Or whatever, Yeah. Yeah, so, so I guess in the
scene where he kills Roach and Ghost, they actually edited in a
little bit differently in that where they give him much more of
a split second to look down at you and then he just tears your
hand away from you. Like like you reach.
Up you grab him, try to stop him from taking the the dossier and
he just rips his arm away from you before you get set on fire.
That's interesting. Yeah.
Just just to give him a little. Bit more of a yeah, I'm that
kind of bastard. Yeah, that.
Makes sense, yeah. Is it alright if I take?
The next Yeah of course I play a lot of rogue legs so I don't
really have a villain really that I, you know, can subscribe
to as mainly bosses but I did think of 1 and I got to say it's
fizzy from Sunset OverDrive oh God from.
Yeah, it's. It's basically the a mascot of
Bizco and which is like the the you're talking, you're talking
about the. Giant flying robot, right?
Yes, the giant. Balloon that just talks to you
and taunts you. OK.
Yeah, just. 'Cause there's, I don't remember
exactly how he's played in the game, but like there are points
in the game where you are actually fighting a giant, like
giant balloon over the fucking water and he is just seeing
quips at you. And there was one where he was
like, I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.
You know, as a reference to the movie.
God damn it and everything. Yeah, I know.
It's I should play that game again because I really don't
remember much about it. Yeah, but I just.
Remember Fizzy? Being just such a little shit.
God, that that game was something different.
I miss it. Yeah, he's described as a.
Cheerful yet sinister balloon. God, I mean, there there are.
There was the DLCS as well, which I guess I can talk about
to extend this a little bit further.
The in the in the in the oil rig DLC.
It's actually really cool because the the final boss it's
the DLCS aren't too long either, but the final boss is the DLC
monster. Because it's like a giant.
Fucking crack. And yeah, yeah, it's just, it's.
Like DLSEA monster is like Oh my fucking God you're stupid.
I hate it, but I just love time. Serious the.
Game took itself, I know. I wish they made a second.
One as well. I I kind of sworn.
That they did, but it was only supposed to be for PS and nobody
played it I don't think. They did, but no I I thought it
was like in. The works and everybody was
like, no, we're not going to play it.
Yeah, there's like the one. AI at the very beginning of the
game that's just like, oh, like, and you're trying to get like
Bora Bora Water. Yeah, there's like a title card
of Bora Bora Water and it's like, here's all the side
effects and there's like just 100 side effects.
It's like I guess, like. Vomiting, nausea, death,
whatever. Like the yeah, explicit
diarrhea, muscle atrophy, and just like a bunch of different
shit. Fineness.
Deafness. Cuteness.
I'll have to look it up anyway. The the the other DLC is.
It's like Fisco's. Robots, and these are like the
advanced version of the robots, which I thought were so cool at
the end of the DLC, you deactivate them and so you don't
fight them anymore. And I kind of regretted that
because I did like fighting the advanced, the other harder
versions of the robots that you get to fight and.
Yeah, but. The.
The final boss. Is I think one of the developers
because it it's a bunch of TV screens and it's like a
developer like all like dressed up and shit like evil on his
yeah, just a bunch of TV screens and everything is taunting you
as well. And like you have to shoot the
TV like blush. I think you'd like at one point
it's giant orb of them too. I can't remember, but it's it's
great. It's a it's a great time.
Such a good game. I really did like the base.
Defence in that game, but that's not you were there.
Yeah, that, that. Was the multiplayer thing right?
Yeah, yeah, that, that was really good.
I enjoyed that that part a lot. Mr. Brand me.
Yeah. That's you.
That's you. And this is me, and that's him,
yeah. And then reader.
Or God reader, what reader? Damn.
Listener, I mean if they could if we listeners you subtitles.
OK, Brandon. All right, go.
So we're going to talk about. Mr. Whiskers.
I mean, whisker, Mr. Whiskers. I never played Resident Evil, so
see him trying to talk about Wesker, I'm like, Oh yeah, it's
Mr. Whiskers. Mr. Whiskers.
It is, though. So Wesker was really a really
big villain, really just really cool villain, until he got
killed like a little bitch in a volcano with a rocket launcher.
I pulled a punching asshole. I.
Pulled a punching. Asshole.
So yeah, Wesker, yeah, originally was in the.
First debuted in the. Original Resident Evil.
And since then? I actually have learned a little
bit about how he got his powers and shit.
Yeah, reading some things, he before he was like stabbed by
the tyrant and and supposedly killed.
He injected himself with the T virus.
OK, so that's the T virus bonded to his body and it brought him
back, which then in return gave him like superhuman abilities.
But with. With that, he was able to get
away from the mansion before it exploded and.
Then years go. By he's, you know, doing other
shady shit. But then we come to Code
Veronica, which is the second time you see him.
That game I will say from. My perspective and probably a
lot of people's perspectives. Coderonica is one of those games
where. If you want to play it.
That is fine, but understand that the game is not really
greatly built and it it has. I think I've talked about this
before, but there's a section while you're in a plane and
you're fighting, I think, I think a tyrant.
And up to this point if you don't have enough ammo you will
soft lock. Don't really.
You won't. Be able to.
Go any further because you ran out of ammo and you haven't
killed the tyrant. So.
That's just a really bad design choice.
Like they, you know, I, I can't remember if there's any ammo on
the plane. I don't think there is, but I
could be wrong. So that's just.
Not great. So that's why I I believe that's
one of the Resident Evils that need a remake, needs a second
Tran second chance. Because the the game itself is
fine. It's good.
It's, you know, whatever. But it's just, there are just
some design choices that are like, why the fuck did you do
that? Like this?
It, it, it, it's one of the more sour points, I guess you could
say in the in the series. But again, it is not a bad game.
It's just if you want to play it, understand it, you're going
to be dealing with some things that might be frustrating where
it's like, why is that even a thing?
You know, Yeah. So there's that and.
Then Wesker again. You don't see him until.
You you see him? In 4, but not during the main
campaign. You see him in separate ways.
Ada Wong's campaign because she's working for him.
Yeah, he wanted the Las Plagas sample because pertaining to
that going into RE-5, he wanted to make a better parasite and
use it. To.
Basically infect the planet cause like a new I I forgot what
he he says, but he wants to I guess create a better planet or
a better, you know, future. But in in, in, in reality,
you're going to kill so many people.
Yeah, I'm going to turn this plan.
Into a. Concrete parking lot, Yeah,
that's where. I think Uroboros, I think it's a
type of Las Plagas parasite. It's like a Type 2 or something
like that that you you fight when you're playing RE-5 and
after that you. You don't see him again.
He, he did, yeah, he did. He did.
Now we'll see what the, what the remakes do 'cause it, it seems
like the, the, the remakes are kind of changing the continuity
of the series. Yeah.
See what happens. Yeah, I mean he.
I'm, I'm wondering if there's going to be some kind of like,
news next week, something with Resident Evil, since its 30th
anniversary is on Sunday. Who knows what they're going to
announce. And I like it.
It's just it it's interesting to see Wesker around again.
Yeah. You know, So I'm hoping, OK, if
we kill him again, which is probably what's going to happen.
Let's not do it in that way. Also, Jesus Christ, that boss
fight and and oh God, I. Don't.
Know that that boss fight was not.
It's not good. They they did not.
Do Wesker justice. He's just really funny, man.
And he was just a good villain. That's, you know, a lot of
people liked him, he included. I say that's I'm sure.
I'm sure. Capcom will rectify a lot of the
issues that they had. Oh yeah, they will.
And and we already know that they're remaking 5 because of
the ending of four remake. Yeah, where you know.
Wesker. Again.
Is going to infect the entire planet, Yeah.
He's going to kill billions of people, yeah.
So yay, Whisker. Mr. Whiskers.
Mr. Whiskers. Back around to me.
Chris. 7 minutes 7. Minutes is all I can spare to
play with you. God 3.
Minutes I. Bet you for three minutes, 3
minutes. Yes.
What do you got, Mark? I want to talk.
About oh God, what's this Andrew Ryan I was thinking about?
I was. Thinking about him.
And Frank Fontaine. Yeah, yeah, definitely.
But definitely both of them, yes, because.
So. How they how the original
Bioshock goes is you land in, you make your way into Rapture
at some point and you meet this guy called what was what was his
name at the beginning? He called himself Frank.
Oh, oh, you talk. You you talking about so so
Fontaine. Because he was, he becomes Atlas
at the end. But he was, he was under a
different pseudonym. Well, he was.
He was Atlas. And then became Fontaine OK, and
then and. Then he literally became Atlas
again at the very end. Something like that.
Yeah. Yeah.
When? When?
He does the transformation, Yeah, it's like a flip flop,
but. Yeah, essentially.
He guides you through the beginning of the game and he's
like, all right, would you kindly help me kill Andrew Ryan?
So, so big thing here is he's telling you, hey, Andrew Ryan's
a really bad guy. He let the city get this way and
he's kind of preventing us from being able to escape the city.
We're like, OK, cool. So he's going on.
He's like, would you kindly do this?
Would you kindly do that? Would you kindly just try this?
Would you kindly it? And it's repeated over and over
and over again, this phrase. Would you kindly?
Every time Atlas is dealing with you until you finally get up to
Andrew Ryan's office and it's like, OK, so you're at you're at
the main villa and you got to go kill him.
And then we can actually get out of here.
This is where the twist happens. Spoilers for anybody looking to
play Bioshock, But it's. It's been so long since it's
been out. Yeah.
But anyways. Andrew Ryan tells you as you're
approaching him. Would you kindly wait?
And your character just freezes. Character can't do anything.
He's like what's what the hell is going on?
And then Andrew Ryan starts talking.
He's like. He goes on to spiel about how
Fontaine created a slave that obeys commands and it is pretty
much just a sleeper agent. And he keeps repeating the
phrase would you kindly while saying a man thinks a slave
obeys as your character is not even in your own control
anymore, it's just acting on its own.
And so he's like, would you kindly take this Golf Club and
kill me? And you're watching your
character shake. Pick up the Golf Club and just
start smacking into the guy. Jesus Christ, just.
Showing off that you. Have absolutely no control over
your character and showing that the entire beginning of the game
was you being manipulated through that phase phrase.
Would you kindly to do all of Frank Fontaine's dirty work,
which I think it also. Includes taking the plane down.
Yeah, you are the reason so. You were the you were the entire
reason why the plane crashed in the beginning of the game.
And so you finally kill Andrew Ryan and Atlas gets on the line.
He's like, well done. Well done.
He's like, by the way, I'm actually Frank Fontaine and I've
got this other sweet little phrase for you to hear.
And I don't remember exactly what the phrase was, but he
speaks it and it's supposed to stop your heart.
Yep. Because he's like all.
Right, your usefulness is now done.
Just fucking die and now. This is where you've got to go
find a cure or whatever it is to bridge that connection because
what you'll notice is all the health you've gotten up to this
point will start to decrease. So your maximum health gets
smaller and smaller. Now, this happens very
gradually. It's not super fast, but you
want to be sure that you you're really focused on.
Finishing this yeah to. Get this, whatever it is to cut
that line with him, Yeah. And it's just another one of
those twist villains where the guy who who's been guiding you
the entire time is now the number one villain and he's
trying to take over the city by injecting it with just tons and
tons and tons of different plasmids, which which literally
turns them into Atlas. Like like the the myth athlete
Atlas? Yes.
It's. Kind of the whole, the whole
story, like it's just, it's interesting just the, the type
of brainwashing that's happening here, like.
It's it's. Fucked up, you know, but
eventually you win, take down Frank and then you get.
The ending you. Get depending on the actions you
took, Yep. So if you were.
A Dick head and decided to kill the little sisters instead of
saving them. You have no heart or soul.
You get the bad ending. Yippee.
Yeah, that bad ending fucking sucks.
Yeah. Because I think you.
You release you release shit into the real world and they
surface world you essentially. Take all the drug addicts and
rapture and you starting feeding the mainland.
That's fucked. Up drug army.
Yeah, you. It literally shows you and your
crew raiding a nuclear submarine and taking the nukes.
Yeah. Yeah, like it's.
It's a powerful story. Yeah, that is awesome.
So. If you haven't played Bioshock,
what are you doing? Go play it.
Go play it. It's a great fucking game.
Great series, great. Series and.
Just overall good story. Each game has its own, you know?
I really fucking loved Infinite. I didn't do it.
It's just been so long. I remember his garbage.
That's funny. I got I played way.
Too much. I will never forget anything
about it. I play way too much.
I just love the different. Atmospheres that they were able
to do because like yeah at at first I was very sceptical of
the the floating city, but eventually it just kind of it it
just kind of clicked it was like oh this makes just a lot of
sense but I really love. The underwater like the rapture.
I just love that shit dude. Rapture's just too.
Iconic with it's it's art Deco style mixed with just it's an
underwater setting. It's just the cinematic.
Of you seeing the city for the first time was like holy shit
that is an opening for a generation God damn just.
You're coming over the. The ledge, the underwater sea
shelf ledge, and you just see lights just like New York City
lights, just everywhere. Damn.
Yeah, so I actually. I actually do have one that I
can talk to about in depth. OK, and that is Glados from
portal. I have only played portal one.
I can't speak for portal 2. I play Portal 2.
It's just I I need to it's it's every single time I open up my
my library. It's like right there like oh,
play next right fucking there. The only game in that section
too. Yeah, so I definitely.
Do need to but. It's just it's just like the way
she talks to you and like a happy go lucky, but also like
just super, super demented like or even just like Oh my God,
wow, you you have taken the longest to dispose of your what
the heart cube. Yeah, yeah, if your.
Friend and cube the. Everyone else has taken shorter
than you or like. You suck, you should kill
yourself dude. If you want any other reason to
play portal 2 I just need. She's completely expanded upon
20. I bet the.
Clips are even better in the. Second game.
Well, I mean, because it's just like.
As you're as you're solving the the puzzles or whatever in the
first one, it's just kind of like just banter more like 1
sided banter and like here's an example is like very good.
You are now in possession of the Aperture Science handheld portal
device. With it, you can create your own
portals. These interdimensional gates
have proven to be completely safe.
The device, however, however, has not.
Please do not touch the operational end of the device.
Do not look into the operational end of the device.
Do not submerge the device and liquid even partially.
Most importantly, under any, under no circumstances should
you. Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Figure it out.
Yeah, he's oh, OK. Cool.
No, in the second. Game, it's so much more heated.
She comes at you with a lot more malice.
Oh my God, it's phenomenal. Well, because in the 1st.
Game you tear her personality cores out like it's just like,
alright, so now it's really like on when she's reactivated.
In two, she's like, oh, it's you.
Yeah, like, oh, hey, I got it. My favorite voice line from just
in the early section of the game is she's like, oh, hey, I have a
phone call here for you. It looks to be from your
parents. Oh, they say that.
Oh, we don't love you. Yeah, we wish you were.
Never. Born.
It's like some fucked off. Shit, Christ, like we hope that.
You enjoy? Life as an orphan because it has
freed us. Yeah, here's another one.
Well see, safety is one of the many enrichment center goals.
The Aperture Science High Energy Pellet, seen to the left of the
chamber can and has caused permanent disabilities such as
vaporization. It's just.
The writing, the Valves writing was extremely good with these
games. Oh my God.
Make another one, Valve. Please, please, please.
You know they won't. I know they won't, but please.
I wish they would, but. They're they're too busy
enjoying the Bunny from the loot box system and the gambling God.
Yeah, what are what are some? What are some others?
I can't say. Anything else?
Because I don't want to ruin anything from Portal 2.
Well, yeah, that's why I'm looking.
At the portal one specific ones. Oh yeah, now.
That you were in control of both portals.
This next tech should take a very, very long time.
God, there's, there's just. I mean, there's not, there's
really not much that she actually says that's kind of
funny, but it's. Oh, yeah.
Well, it has been faithful companion.
Your companion Cube cannot accompany you through the rest
of the test. If it could talk and in the
enrichment center takes this opportunity to remind you that
it cannot, it would tell you to go on without it because it
would rather die in a fire than become a burden to you.
Testing cannot continue into your Companion Cube has been
incinerated. Although the euthanizing process
is remarkably painful, 8 out of 10 Aperture Science engineers
believe that the Companion Cube is most likely incapable of
feeling much pain. The Companion Cube cannot
continue through the testing. State and local statuary
regulations prohibited Prohibited from simply remaining
here alone and companionless. You must euthanize it, destroy
your companion cube, or the testing cannot continue.
You've used that as your faithful, faithful companion
cube more quickly than any test subject on record.
Congratulations, Jesus Christ. Like fuck God fucking it's just
the setup is just so intricate. I know it it.
It's such a great pay off. All aperture technologies remain
safely operational up to 4000° Kelvin.
God damn fuck. Yeah.
That's hot. It's great.
It's so fucking good. Just it hurt.
The way she talks. It's just perfectly funny.
It's just like it. Like you said, there's a lot of
set up to her and then just at the end, like last five words,
it just gets you. And just send that dusted.
Tone Yeah. Oh.
My, it's just like what I asked you to watch the water boil.
Yeah. Thanks for watching the water
boil. I asked you for it because a
Watch pot. Watch pot never boils.
Yeah, I was not. Over your fucking house.
Hello. Anybody there?
Good, I remember. That was one of my friends or
coworkers at the time that was his.
Was this ringtone? Yes.
It was. It was.
Hello. Anybody there?
Jesus Christ. Anytime you got a text dude.
My my text. Tone was the the BioShock
Infinite like objective sound Don Dong Dong.
Dong Dong like God damn. It that that was loud too.
God, because I think that's I the phone I had at that time.
The speakers were fucking great. You want to know the wildest?
Fucking ringtone I've ever heard.
So this was back when I was still in Scouts.
It was it was my first summer camp at Camp Lakota.
For some reason, we were, we were in the middle of the woods.
There were two counselors just dropping down a tree.
They've been doing it the entire tenure at the summer camp.
Still just chopping away at this like 10 foot wide tree.
God damn and one of their phones goes off and it's just a German
guy shouting grenade so it just goes.
Oh my. What the fuck?
Why would? You have that as it ringed also.
Like not. Even just they have your phone
silenced my guy. That was amazing.
You had. Service that that place is in
the middle fucking nowhere. I'm about to say that wait was.
This a 6th grade camp? No this.
Is for BSA. Gotcha.
Yeah, damn, yeah, no, this place, I don't even know where
the fuck it is, but it was just so it.
Mind you, this is like in the middle of June, Julyish, and it
is hot as hell. Oh yeah, very.
Dry. Very.
Hot this place has had no tree coverage.
Oh, so you're just constantly? In the sun constantly in the.
Sun when you're over by your camp God.
Now there. There was also swimming.
There was shaded areas on the other side of the fucking camp.
So you either had to ride a. Bike there or walk in the.
Heat. Fuck that.
I'll. Just stay in my air conditioned.
House. Yeah, like.
Like that? I mean that does.
Remind me, I mean, I'm not sure if it was like a text tone or
e-mail or whatever, but there was one time I was probably.
Teenager somewhere. In that range, I know it's a
wide range, but somewhere in that range where I.
Was just sitting on the couch I. Didn't, I didn't understand,
'cause I'm not, I never watched the movie or whatever.
It's Doctor Evil, Yeah. And.
Yeah, so I've. Never watched whatever it is
that he's Austin Powers, that is.
From. And the text, son, was you've
got fucking mail. And everybody was dying of
laughter 'cause my sister was like, Oh my God, look what I
found. And I'm like I I I bet this is
funny but I haven't seen the the movie.
Yeah, I haven't seen the source. Material to know why this is
funny, Yeah. And that's probably one of the.
Weirdest ones that I've ever I I still haven't watched it, so I I
still don't get it. Is yeah.
Is that Austin Powers? Doctor Evil, Doctor Evil's
Austin. Powers Yeah, yeah, OK.
Isn't. The guy that goes. $1 million,
that's yeah, yeah. He's got mini me as well.
Fucking mini me. God, I should.
Watch I get. Around to watch that at some
point you should they're. They're really cheesy.
They're really. That's not really old cheesy.
Yeah, I mean, there was. There was the.
The one movie that's. Based off of I think it's Star
Wars but it's like super, super cheesy.
There's. Are you talking about
Spaceballs? I think so we're there's a.
Dog companion. Yeah, you need to see some of
these. Parody movies.
They're I I have seen. Spaceballs.
Yes, there's there's actually. Another one aren't there?
The Power of the Schwartz. Yeah, the power of.
The May the Schwartz be with you.
We we haven't found anything. What about you guys?
We haven't found anything. What about you guys?
We we found she they have like an Afro comb.
We're damn it, we're at the. End I.
Want to get this and then like the one guy is like on the floor
and just hello my baby a little bit darling, see no more.
I don't like fucking music jumping around like that guy.
Dude, there's. So many of these movies that you
need to watch. I know my my roommate introduced
me and Emma to watching No, well, I've already saw it, but
having me watch Men in Tights and that was a good time too.
Oh yeah, after that. Yeah, you're the one.
I want to watch the original Princess Bride.
That that's a. What's your name?
Inigo Montoya. You killed my father.
Prepared to die. Yeah, there's the fight between.
Him and the the guy in all black or whatever, Yeah then ninja
looking dude. Or the perv with the with the
poison. Fall soon, this poison has
enough to kill an elephant. Shit, I shouldn't have done
that. Or I.
Also need to. Finish Monty Python I I I have
seen it at the beginning where they go with the coconuts.
With the coconuts? Depends.
There's a lot of Monty Python. That's not the only Monty Python
movie. Well, I'm talking about that
one. Yeah, you're talking about Holy
Grail. Yeah, it's good too.
What is your favorite color? Green.
No blue. But unfortunately the animator
died before he could actually animate this process, and the
dragon just face from existence, letting RT be able to move on.
Wait. You watch the movie you.
Find out. Oh God.
Oh, it's. Great.
What's the average air? Speed of a of a laden swallow.
American, European. I don't, I don't know.
Or. There, there's a sketch, a skit
I had to watch from school, from, from college.
And the guy walks in, he's like, all right, I'm ready.
And the guy just starts screaming at him and he's like,
whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa.
And he's like, why are you? Crying, he's like, I, what is
this? He's like, oh, I'm, I'm here
doing the thing and he's like, what?
I thought this was debate and the guy's like debate.
No, this is abuse. And he's like, oh.
If you want to be, you got to go to the next dream over.
He's like, oh, OK. So he goes in, sits down, shakes
the guys, and he's like, all right, I'm here for debate.
And they both start yelling at each other.
My God. It's like no different.
From abuse. Jesus Christ.
All right, Well, we are at a. Hour and 5 minutes No, I don't
know how we. Shifted over to parody movies
and, well, I. You brought up.
You brought up ringtones, and that led to Austin Powers, Yes.
And then that led to Mel Gibson movies and then just Monty
Python. Well, we were.
We were on. Rails for a good amount of time
there. I'm kind of proud of us, but
that's all right it. Happens to the best of us, and
by us I mean. In this episode before.
I go out that window. You know why?
It's a nice looking window man. Well, you know.
Sometimes you're just going to break shit.
Look, everything's fucking. Expensive nowadays you just go
around breaking random windows or yourself.
I'm going to lose. Our editor.
If you do that, yeah, you know how.
Expensive fucking health insurance is man.
It's pretty fucking expensive. It's probably 6 feet under IB.
You know how? Much it.
Cost you know to hire an editor cost now.
Yeah, how much it cost to hire an?
Editor, because I don't. Yeah, you'll be fine.
I mean, I'd be fine, yes, but. This podcast.
No, no. You guys can learn it, learn it
well. Anyways.
