Hello and welcome back to Plug In for Player 4.
I'm Mark with Brandon and Ethan here.
How you guys doing today? Not even 20 seconds, it's.
OK, yeah, that effects on people.
No one's going to have any fucking.
No contacts at all, just no person.
It was funny. The only context you're going to
need is that we've been fucking around for the past 20 minutes
before we started. Yeah.
And I finally broke them with just the intro.
It's going to be an interesting one.
Oh fuck, it's all out, no headache.
It ain't coming out. Oh, that's.
Brilliant. Sounds like that, just saying.
All right, what? What are we doing?
What are we? What are we doing today?
Well, since you guys are already dying, favorite gaming weapons?
Got a Sorry I had something in my throat there.
I'm still following along with last week favorite main
characters. This week we got favorite gaming
weapons. Team Fortress 2 heavy weapons
guys. He is.
He himself is a weapon. Sandwich.
Remember son tying his game? I can't fuck.
We're not going to get through this.
No, because of the fucking intro.
God charge through. Yeah, just charge through
straightforward favorite game, video game weapons.
If it's got some sort of memorable trait to it, some sort
of weird mechanic, something that makes it stand out to you
that you're always gonna remember back to.
I get I feel like a dictator today.
Ethan, you go. 1st All right, I have been dictated to go first,
so first one is gonna be the Mastiff from team No, not team
God damn. That's not TF2 from Titanfall 2,
God damn it. But yeah, the Mastiff shotgun
from Titanfall 2, it's memorable because I like shotguns in
games, so there's one, but also 2.
It's a really unique shotgun in the sense that it's spread is
horizontal. Yeah.
It doesn't shoot outward in a cone, no, it's a horizontal
spread. The only other time I've seen
this in the game is kind of bandit shotgun from Risk of Rain
too. Yeah, yeah, I know.
What you're talking about with that one, I, I, well, I was
looking this weapon up because I couldn't remember the name.
I was looking on the wiki and it said that it's it shoots in a
grid in a, in a rectangle pattern like a 2 by 4 sideways.
And it's just, I don't know, something about I thought, I
thought I always like shot like 7 projectiles sideways or 8
something like that number. But just like plus it's a pretty
solid weapon even then like in close range if you get up
somebody and just barrel stuff them and they're just.
Dead, which is really useful in the movement head mechanics of
the Titanfall 2. Oh yeah, especially with that.
Like if you don't have the fucking aim, you just hit the
point. That's fucking awesome.
Right. I mean, even if you need to get
really close to somebody, which is really easy to do with the
speed in that game. Yeah, I'm just the fluidity of
your movement. It's just, I mean, granted, any,
any gun can really work. Oh, sorry, can really work.
It's just, oh, the mastiff. It's just that that sideways
spread. Yes, as as long as you get the
cursor or the the cross hairs level it's pretty much game over
for. Oh, yeah, or even if you like
Amen at the head. Oh, that can get you can get
some pretty good damage out. Yeah.
Oh. Yeah, it's the output of it.
It's so reliable I miss it. Dude I miss, I miss Titanfall
too. It's just even a new Titanfall
game. Yeah, I I remember playing the
beta. Remember that.
I remember the beta too, that was a wild time.
Christ that was actually really fun for the PvP.
It was. Titanfall 2 was fun I I played a
good bit of it with some friends.
That's cool. Yeah, dictator Mark, you get to
pick next. Brandon, what you got to talk
about? Well, we're gonna talk about the
cold shoulder shotgun. Yeah, it's another shotgun.
Yippee. Do you think shotguns around
here? From Fallout 76 so it is a
double barrel shotgun. OK.
That causes freezing damage. OK.
And being said, it has 8 rounds. OK.
Double barrel shotgun only usually takes 2.
OK. They don't.
See the problem yet? Yeah.
And they'll see the problem yet, yeah.
And you could fire in kind of a rapid succession and just
decimate shit. Just.
Going up to somebody, all right, Cool.
Yep, and then I just magically just reload two shots and that's
it and I'm at 8 again. That's all you need.
Yeah, that's all you need. I that just that's so fucking
much. I've recently gone to the Fixer,
which is a rifle, yeah, combat rifle that depending on because
the Fixer, which is another weapon I really like that has
depending on which one you get and like because the Fixer it
has different legendary stuff on it, attributes.
And the one I'm using, funny enough, I actually won in a
giveaway in a stream I was watching and the the person that
was streaming, his name is Tune. I like to shout him out.
Haven't watched him in a little while because I've been doing
other stuff, but Tuna Versal. Great guy to watch.
Mostly a Fallout streamer, but I won that in his channel and one
of his buddies actually came to my camp and dropped it off.
Oh, that's. Cool.
It was really fucking cool and it's a great like this
particular fixer has like the armor penetration fucking God
like it like it's it fucks anything.
Off so I it's a really solid workhorse yeah I.
Remember trying to get a trying to get a sledgehammer in Fallout
76 with a with perfect roles, but it's it's so hard.
It's it's hard as hell to get a gun that you want with those
type of roles right now. I know with the with 76 now if
you scrap legendary guns you have a chance of actually
learning one of its attributes. Oh that's awesome.
You can just apply it. And you can apply it to
whatever. That's awesome.
So that, that it, that's very nice.
But the I don't know the percentage of what it is to get
these attributes, but I I've only had it a handful of times.
Happened still though, but I. Can I cannot wait to play with
you with Emma on 76 just to see how much it's changed since
launch, because that's that's the last time that Emma and I
played yes was the launch period and we we got to the end game
and there just wasn't anything to release sustain on.
So we just kind of left. Yeah, the.
So I mean, the, the, the game was suffering enough with all
the, the launch bugs and everything else, but we were
just like, yeah, there's nothing really to do.
And like, like as as much as I would have loved to play on PC
with you guys because with the amount of crap I have, I can
literally give you guys shit. Yeah.
Maybe that'll happen one day. We'll see, yeah.
But but going in is a is a fresh kind of this is how the game
feels now. Yeah.
That would be kind of the antithesis of a.
Yeah, and I've also taken the liberty because I was playing it
today on Xbox, I did put down a camp and I did make a house for
us. So we have it.
Hell yeah. And we'll do whatever we we need
to do. I think you guys will have a, a
better time now with the fact that the game has had so many
updates now and for the people listening at home, I am a big
fallout guy that just by fucking love like I like I know I've
talked about Resident Evil and all that shit, but fallout is
right up there with it. I, I can't exactly explain why I
like it so much. I don't know if it's just the
the feel of the game. It's it's just it's it's fun.
And with 76, yeah, it was buggy as all fuck.
Yeah, when it came out. Like I love this.
I love the series so much. But 76 was shit when it came
out. But now with, like you said,
Mark, you guys stopped at around the launch period, there have
been many years have gone by and the game has gotten so much
better. Now, granted, there are still
issues with the game, but they're not very prevalent.
And what's also nice, I don't know if I've told them it is the
next season starts September 2nd.
Oh, neat. OK.
They're changing the way building works in your camps now
they're putting, they're getting rid of some restrictions.
OK, so they're making it a lot easier to build what you want
and not have shit get in the way of it.
Oh, she's going to love. That they're also completely
redesigning the menu for building OK, which I really like
because it puts everything in better categories inside of
subcategories depending on what you're picking.
Oh, that's pretty neat. There's also which this has
already been out for a little while, but there is the brand
new area on the map, which I think you guys would enjoy.
OK, now that area has like level 100 enemies.
Oh boy. So could do it if you want but
it's it it with 76 at least probably.
Now if you're under level on certain shit, it is a train
wreck like you, you will. You will not get anywhere.
So just keep that in mind. Through the fire and flames,
brother. Yep.
Through the fire and flames. And the only and the good thing
is when you die, it's really not a penalty.
Oh yeah. I mean the only thing you drop
is like your. Your crap.
Yeah, your scraps and all that. You can always go get back, but
I just, I've played the game enough to where it's like, this
is how this goes and it's going to be a little bit of an
adjustment for me not having my Fallout One subscription and all
that stuff. Unfortunately, yeah, that's
having to put scrap in your fucking storage box.
Sucks. Yep.
So weapons, yeah, but yeah, weapons.
Man, we took a detour. Yes.
Always. Yeah, I guess that's all you
have to say about the cold shoulder.
Who's next? Dictator.
It's gonna be me next. Oh.
My God. Holy shit, it's gonna be him.
Yeah, it's gonna be me. Oh Jesus Christ.
Oh God. Oh no.
Oh yeah, you did it. You did it.
No, I I didn't do that. Oh, that's loud.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You did it all right.
So what do you got, Mark? I don't want to talk about the
plasma cutter from Dead Space, you know, just kind of throwing
in Dead Space occasionally into another episode.
Here we go. No, just real quick plasma
cutter, even though it's the first weapon you receive in the
game, it's extremely reliable and the fact that you can get so
much ammo from it throughout many different sources.
It it just makes it the, in my opinion, one of the best guns in
the game. It's it it it doesn't have too
many bombs and whistles. I mean, the special mode is, oh,
you can take it from a vertical fire and it just rotates it to a
horizontal fire. But it, it the fact that it's so
dependable, especially when you're trying to shoot off the
limbs of the necromorphs or deal with certain enemies, it's just
you can't beat it. It's versatile.
It's the the ammo's cheap and it it's always constantly
available. It's always a good fall back
weapon. I, I, I, it has everything that
you could ever ask for for the weapon, and it does it well.
I'll say man, like the you upgrade that fucker.
Oh yeah, it gets good. It gets real good as you as you
invest into it. I've That's mostly what I use.
That's a weapon that if you treat right, it treats you
right. Yeah, good.
Especially those ammo upgrades. I think you just lay down on the
trigger, not think about it because you've got like 24.
Pretty much, yeah. But it's, it's so useful when
you're dealing with the horns, like like before the remake came
out, I even went ahead and did a, a plasma cutter only run of
it. And you know, I thought, oh,
this is gonna be really difficult, but I, I was actually
having a decent time with it still.
Now granted you still have some enemies where it's like oh, it's
gonna be an issue to deal with like with the tendrils if you
really had to make sure you line up your shots correctly
otherwise you're not going to get through the actual 10 add
add tendrils, cut scenes and you're going to get soft locked.
Yeah, but outside of that, no, it perfectly fine.
I couldn't complain. Yep, it's a great weapon.
Yeah. And just the the unique design
of it, it, it's got the heavy industrial, industrial look, but
it's also got the sleek lines at the front with the kind of like
like the curved apparatus of where the actual shots come out.
It's yeah, it's so nice. I mean, to be fair, as a person
that doesn't know much about Dead Space, it's the weapon that
I think of when I think of Dead Space.
Oh yeah. Yep, it's kind of the the, the
face of the game, Yeah, you know.
Right, yeah, I mean, alongside the iconic engineer armor.
Yes. Yeah.
Yes, the three lines in it. Yeah, great armor.
Fucking sexy suit of armor. Yes.
Yeah, that's all I've got to say about the plasma cutter.
It's reliable, it's faithful, it's good.
Oh, back to me. Yeah, I'm looking at you right
now. OK, OK, Dictator Mark.
My bad. Don't smite me.
Freak God God damn shit. OK, so these are two I'm going
to kind of lump them together, but not really.
The first one is from Terraria, it is the last prism.
When I first played this game as AII went the major out or magic
route and I pretty much use magic weapons and I got the last
prism. This is at the very end of the
game, by the way. Fidel right?
What? End of vanilla campaign.
Well, just base game. I'm just talking this is this is
what we get from Moon Lord, the final boss.
Yeah, OK. We have the last prism as soon
as you shoot it like it uses up an an OK amount of mana, but as
you're using it, you have like 6 colored beams, you know the six
generic colors just shooting out of it and like a wide cone like
dealing damage. And as it as it shoots, it
closes in into one like unified or single white beam.
And as it closes in, it takes up more and more mana, but it deals
more and more damage. And you can't fire this thing
for long either. Even with all all of your mana
Max because it's at the very end of the game.
Yeah, it's only fire for like a couple.
Of mana. Jesus.
Christ, you basically need one singular item to to keep
consuming mana potions to keep dealing damage.
Like if you want a good visual representation of what this
thing looks like, imagine that that like Pink Floyd icon, like
the prism is just a weapon. That's exactly what it is.
Yeah. OK.
But yeah, like that's it is kind of like the the ultimate mage
weapon. I mean, there's another one.
I can't think of it, but it's it's pretty damn up there and
it's always set out to me. Just you know how much damage
this thing can it's. Always so satisfying see you
shoot that. I'm like, I feel reinsured right
about because I always went with with rage weapons and it was
always hell on because it's like, Oh, I have to manage so
many different resources and then beam, just beam.
I'm like, ah, problems been dealt with.
Well, like, I don't even think I need to get involved.
This is great. Especially because Rangers like
oh, if you, you really have to care about positioning and then
otherwise you're just going to get fucked.
Yeah, if you're using the last prism, you basically have to,
you know, use an entire build around it.
Yeah. OK, that makes sense.
Not really, but you're going to need at least one item to make
it work, and a. Bunch.
Of and a bunch of mana potions yeah and like, yeah, you can get
items with the arcane. It is a demanding.
Suffix I think. Yeah, it it pays off.
Yeah, you can get like items with the arcane suffix I think
it's called, where you get like plus 20 mana which is another
star. Yeah.
But even then, like you can fire it for like another half a
second when it's at Max. It eats, literally eats through
just mana, but it's super. Powerful.
Yeah. So it it's worth it.
It it's it's got a trade off but it's worth it, especially if you
need that burst damage. Right.
And like, you don't have to use it that way.
Like with the one item, it's just it, it makes it just better
overall. However, that trade off, if you
use that one item is the more magic potions you consume, the
less damage you deal up to a certain amount.
I can't remember, might be like 30 or 50%, but still just that
constant DPS. Yeah, especially against bosses
because like no matter what, even if you just click and like
against basic enemies, they're fucking erased, evaporated.
Yeah, yeah, the the other one I'm going to talk about is the
Universe Splitter from Calamity mod of.
Terraria God. This.
Honestly this name is fucking awesome.
It deals 15,000 damage. Which which towards the end of
Calamity Bod is still a pin drop for the bosses but.
But that's like one of the highest damage values I've seen
in on a weapon, even in Calamity I know, and its visuals are
really lacking. The name's awesome.
Yeah, the name is awesome. The idea of it is awesome.
Like you read the description like holy fucking shit.
But you use it. It's just like, here's a laser,
here's a laser, here's a laser, here's a big old, like big beefy
laser that actually like deals dump.
Damn, it just dumps damage. Fucking Christ.
But still, even then, it's just like, I expected more out of
this when I first crafted it. I'm like, this sounds awesome.
I finally get to use it. What the fuck was?
That why am I just disappointed? Yeah.
Like I just put it in the chest. Sadly, I'm like, I'm not going
to use this. I'm just going to go back to
summer. I think it actually, dude, it's,
it's the, the reason it's memorable is because of the name
and the just the sheer damage value.
Because like you, you know, as, as you go through calamity, like
you, you, you pick up items, you go to the, go to the, what's his
name, the guide, you go to the guide and you just put in an
item. See, like, what can I make out
of this? And then you see the fucking
universe splitter and that just immediately piques your
interest. Like what can I do with this
15,000? I like big number.
Big number. Good and.
Even then it's like, oh, I'm still barely surviving because
this body hates everybody. Brandon, we really need to get
back to playing that, yeah. We do It's.
Like it only gets better. It gets better, but it only gets
harder too. It does.
But I mean the dialogue. But that makes yes, but it makes
it also more fun and just the the sheer amount of weapons they
add into the mod and even and then like the changes that they
make to existing weapons. Yeah, in the mod, like the base
game items, I think they changed over 1000 items.
Fuck yeah. Isn't there like a crafty
recipe? I think it's for like 1 of the
swords. That's like 500 steps long.
Are you talking to the the Terra Blade?
I think the terror Blade, but there's also like it it it, it
extends it even further. You might be shit.
What I feel like I know you're talking about.
I think I might have told you about this.
There's like a. Super long crafting recipe for a
weapon. That might be thorium mod
because I know there's. Oh, OK.
Because in Thorium you need to like not even like souls, it's
like essence, basically God, but you need like essence of terror,
essence of this, essence of that.
And you need like a bunch of different essences to create
these essences. And then you all use all that
for one singular item. And it has like if you yeah, I
think it used to be this way where you had that item, but it
made it harder with, harder with Calamity, and then it made it
harder with Fargo's mod, and then it made it harder.
Actually, it might have been Fargo's mod, but made harder
with Thorium. And then like another mod that I
can't remember the name and it just made it longer and longer
in the steps. I think that's what you did, now
that I think about it. You just kept combining mods and
it made it like 500 steps for one thing.
Fuck. Jesus Christ, I still want to
create that people, people out there will know the item that
I'm thinking of, but that's not even calamity, but you know,
just the universe splitter. Just I don't know, just the name
and like you see it and you're just your eyes twinkle with.
I want to see what that does wonder.
I just wish the visuals were better.
Just make it actually worthy of the universe splitter.
What was the last time you used it?
Because I know. It was the IT was the first time
we played together when I like because you need to go through.
Because I know they they reworked a lot of visuals
between the time that we last played and the time we're
playing with Brandon now. Well, you're right, but last
time I was with, you know, just me, you and Mark, like you know
me, Mark and Brandon. Sorry, me, Mark and Jack.
My bad. This is before you were in the
friend group, Brandon. Man, that's the last time you
use it because you have to go through Yaron and then you have
to like, use Daedron's Forge along with something else.
No, because you get the abomination which comes from
that one like mechanical jungle boss.
You know what I'm talking about, Mark.
Yeah, I know what you're talking about.
OK, Yeah. Yeah, you need you need that and
another I don't know, and you just get just dump, damn it.
I want to try it again, though, see if you got any better.
But you know, Summoner, I would like Summoner is really fun.
I will like in general and calamity and I want to I think
it's a summon summon damage weapon and I want yeah, it is
because I looked it up. It is.
I just want to try it again, give it an actual go.
Hell yeah. Yeah, maybe we can play that if
you're filling up for tonight, I'd do it depends on Brandon.
Well, I mean like I should play more because I, I've, I've got
to really try to get a feel of Terraria.
I will. I just with with this, I haven't
really played vanilla, so we're throwing me in a very like, oh
shit. So yeah.
To be fair, the what's it called?
What's the what's the word for it?
Like the playing the game, the ramp of the game is pretty
linear, so it's a pretty. It's mostly vanilla first, yeah,
you'll have some calamity stuff you'll find here and there, and
then after you get past Moon Lord, that's when it ramps up.
And like sky rackets with Calamity mod.
Yeah. Like for example.
So if you're a sea that's not there.
The only thing that we're dealing with right now and where
we are in the game that is Calamity Mod, is the Astral
Infection. Like if you're over the snow
Biome, that changed. We can we can definitely do base
Terraria. I don't want to get stuck on
this, but we can definitely do base Terraria after, yeah after
Calamity if you we. Can do it first if we want to
give them a baseline. Not true.
And you're getting more use to the mechanics cuz it calamity
mod steep calamity mod you kind of need.
To, I guess, whatever Brandon wants to do, yeah.
So I do want to play more like it's.
I'm just trying to get used to it cuz it's like when I play
Terraria I my Minecraft instincts come in.
Yeah, and it's not anywhere near the same, no.
It's totally. It is pure action all the time.
You do not get a break, especially when exploring and.
Everything wants to kill you, yeah.
Yeah. So that's just the frame of
reference. I noticed that you were standing
still all the time, especially from at the middle of the
session to the end. And I'm like, Brandon, you're
OK. Like I've just been checking up
on you every time. I'm like, Are you sure?
Yeah, like, Are you sure? And you're like, yeah, I'm fine.
I'm like, Are you sure, though? You're like, yeah, I'm fine.
I'm. Like, OK, fair enough.
I think also I was starting to fall asleep.
Yeah, that's no, that's fair. Like, I think that's probably
what was happening. That's very fair.
I remember right. So I was like.
But yeah, those are two just, you know, 2 picks I've jumbled
together on the weapons list. Oh yeah, Mr. Brandon, you got
another weapon you won't talk to us about another favorite.
Super Shotgun. It's another shotgun.
I've now had to see that now. How many shotguns have we gone
through? Is it like 3?
Yeah, this is the. This is the third one.
Unless they, unless you count the reek.
No Sir, unless you count 1 is a plasma cutter.
Is that technically a second? It's not, it's not a shotgun,
it's it's a linear fire. Is it more like the breech
cutter from Deep Rec? That's the one that shoots a
laser and just no. Oh yeah.
So so it fires like plasma bolts.
Gotcha. Yeah, but it's a straight line
depending on where you're target.
OK. Yep.
Yeah, it there's no spread, it's just you see your 3 reticles,
that's exactly where your bolts are going to land.
Yep, gotcha. Yeah.
So it's more like a like a like a plasma rifle sort of thing.
Yeah, so yeah, for me Super Shotgun from Doom 2 and also the
other modern Doom games, Super shotgun, fun as fuck.
Destroy shit. Something's in front of you.
Now it's gone. RIP and tear RIP.
And tear, it's like I I love the like regular shotgun and doom.
But super Shotgun? But once I see this super
shotgun, that's it. That that, that.
That's literally it. Not wrong, that's what happened
to be in a turtle, especially when I got the meat hook.
Dude, yes, I was thinking about that.
Like literally fucking hook yourself on an enemy I.
You're just you could have like the pendulum physics of having a
hook and it draws you into the enemy as well.
I love, I love doing the the again, the cocka demons.
I love just fucking eat myself to them.
I'm coming, motherfucker. Prepared to taste.
Left and cocka demons just looking like shit and.
Just the stupid expression on its face.
And with the with the Super shotgun in Eternal you can also
make it where you hook on the enemies you set them on fire.
Yeah, yeah. So it's, it's such a great
weapon. I Oh my God.
That's beautiful. It's a beautiful.
Thing. It's a beautiful thing.
I mean, there's not a lot to say about it.
It's a super Chuck. It's it's.
Quite literally. It's said if oh, and they just
kind of splatter, it's they're a fine mist.
There's fucking nothing left. It's a fine piece.
And it's great for crowd control.
Oh my. God dude, you could take out so
many demons with it. Yeah.
Holy shit. And I think, yeah, Doom 2 is the
first game that introduced it. I believe because you had Doom
one, you'd have the regular shotgun, which is fine.
Oh yeah, yeah, I mean. It's still pretty solid weapon.
Oh yeah, that's good work. Shotgun.
But it's not super. It's not super.
God, take down the big ass fucking enemies with it.
Oh my God. Really fucking good, yeah.
Super shotgun, Super shotgun, Super Super hot.
Hot. Super hot.
No. All right, then I I guess I've
got another one I want to talk about.
Well, if we're on the the shotgun train today, I want to
talk about the Argus from Black Ops.
Speaking of super, oh, never mind.
God, it's casualties. Man, the the amount of
bullshitter you and I did with with our friend group at the
time Ethan with the Argus we we figured out that you could
extremely customize that shotgun and it became an arms race for
our party games. We.
Made a whole fucking dumb ass. So so like how Modern Warfare 2
had the the interventions on Rust, we had Argus fights on I
don't remember I. Don't know why the Argus either,
it's the most arbitrary fucking shotgun on the list, but the.
The fact that you could make it shoot from so far away and still
be effective. Yeah, I mean, it's kind of like
the KSG from Black Ops 2. That thing was a slug shock and
that just. It was a fucking lazy.
Game fucked so many times with that.
That's a piss. Oh my God, fuck.
But yeah, just I fuck, we were. We were playing on New Year's
Day. I remember that that was
literally the. First Argus fight.
Let's go. I remember that.
That was the first New Year's Eve slash day where you know it,
just fuck the ball. We're just going to play in
Black Ops 3 and kill each other. We were.
On a great time with it too. I remember looking down, I was
like, oh shit, it's 1230, Happy New Year's.
Yeah, I got you. I do remember saying that.
Holy shit. Literally it was just an arms
race to make a new version of the gun to just one up the other
players. Just if you if you try to get in
too close, you could be like, all right, I want to make it a
higher spread and then people will be like, Oh well, I wanted
to keep you further away. So it'll just keep increasing
the range. It was just a full on just arms
race. Was trying to make the best
version of it from the different situations.
And do you guys remember, I think this was Black Ops one,
the OR actually no Modern Warfare 2 silent shot.
I don't. I don't.
Remember. So I.
Started playing Black Ops 2 and I barely played even Black Ops
one or even Modern Warfare 3 on multiplayer so.
So with and this literally with the intervention, the silence
shot, basically what you do if you're doing like A1V1, if you
shoot the intervention and then right after you shoot you hit I
think it's the the right bumper if you have a throwing knife and
what it'll do if you've done it correctly, your screen will
actually cock eye a little bit and in the kill Cam when you
shoot your fucking intervention, you don't hear it, but it's
still registered that it's shot and killed the person.
It's fucking wild. It is.
You have to see it in action. It's crazy.
Like you in the kill Cam, you just see like you, you shot the
intervention disappears, You see the radical for the fucking
throwing knife and your character's like it is
interesting. God, that was pretty cool.
I wasn't too big on the multiplayer scene at that point
because I was still a little too young.
You can really deal with my anger management of those games
at that point. That's I I was kind.
Of a pitch when it comes to that.
I had, man, I Call of Duty. Yeah, I, I all I could tell you
is my brother had to take Black Ops away from me.
Yeah. Because it was getting to the
point that I was being really disruptive and saying things I
shouldn't be. So that.
Yeah. I don't think I've really raged
that black OP I. Mean.
Oh dude. When I play Black Ops 2 I
probably have but like not that much.
Oh dude, I punched my TV. My.
Problem was that I get too into the competitiveness.
That's yeah, that's why like nowadays, competitive stuff for
me is fine. I do it for fun.
Yeah, but I'm not going to let myself get mad because the
moment I start getting mad, I stop because it's like it's not
worth my time. Right.
So like I, I really don't have an urge to play Call of Duty
anymore at this point. So I.
Haven't do I? So yeah.
I mean it really started to change with Black Ops 4 for me.
It it it was. Yeah.
I really love the Black Ops 3. Yeah, Black Ops 3 was pretty
fun. Game weapons it was.
Changing, but it was still, it was still kind of the same
formula. Yes, game weapons.
Yeah, game weapons. Mr. Ethan, Well, you know, you
kind of reminded me of this, so I'll keep the shotgun train
going. Going off the script here.
Black Ops 2, not the KSG. Good.
It was the. Remington, actually.
Oh yeah, that was probably the most like balanced shotgun I've
ever seen in any game ever. It just everything about it felt
right and I had like the perfect setup with it and I was a
fucking monster with Mark can tell you.
He. Was I was a monster with the
Remington and I would always take like the short paths and
like sneak around. Like if I had to go in in the
middle of the map I like I snuck around as best I could.
It's like you you were racking up regularly 30 plus kills and.
Games I want to 30. I mean I was also still a kid so
other dog should true I would say like what was that, 10 or
15? Yeah, OK.
Yeah, Yeah, you're right. That was also like the meddling
year. Maybe 20 if I was.
If you're super lucky. Yeah, yeah, 'cause like towards
the end, I, I still died often. It's just can't beat the range
of an SMG or AK. Yeah, you really can't.
Yeah, but like, especially in the boat map, the yacht, Yeah.
On Black Ops 2, yeah. I If you're running anything
else other than a rifle, you're confined to the center of the
ship. There's just no hope.
It's so open. Yeah, I would just run around
like a rat. Just ride the chest with the
chest. Pop out, pop out of your hole.
You're like. Yeah.
It is. Great.
Got the amount of memories I have on Black Ops 2 like that,
because that was that was the first Call of Duty I grew up
playing. Yeah.
Yeah, I remember. And just like instantly being
drawn to shotguns, that's the only.
Did I diamond the specials? I don't remember.
I might have diamond the specials.
I wouldn't check anymore. I wonder if the servers are
down. No, they're still up.
Yeah, they're still up. It's backwards up.
It's backwards compatible with Xbox.
It's just probably hackers are everywhere.
I mean, that's that's the case on warfare too.
Like you really shouldn't play any of the call of Duty's on PC
especially. Oh God.
Not PC, no. Because there's been some really
bad kernel level. Yeah.
So. That's why I don't really play
Call of Duty anymore. I just don't want to deal with
that. I don't either you.
Deal with the throwaway networking.
Yep. Anyway, but I know that that
Remington was just a beast of a shotgun and I loved every aspect
of it in multiplayer at least. Zombies it was not the best but
then again you really never saw zombies anyway.
There was like 1 map, you could buy it off the wall and I think
that was OK. I think it was die rise.
I think it was die rise. Maybe you could have like you
know, the chalk out lines on buried or something.
Yeah, but again, at that point there were just so many better
options to use. Yeah.
It just wasn't worth it. No just I think it's also like
the first shotgun you unlock and it's just the most memorable as
well, minus the KSG which is just bullshit range.
Yeah. Oh yeah, I know.
Oh my God, man. Nuketown.
I hate Nuketown on every fucking facet.
That map needs to fucking purge in a fire.
I see. I love nuketown.
Nope, but. And at some point they carried
it too far. It's like.
We just keep reusing it, yeah. I know it's like it's the same
app and everyone votes for it too.
It's like why? But see, I will say Nuketown can
be a pain in the ass, but shipment?
Oh. God, you spot.
And it's so small. You're already dead.
You're in the. Asshole of someone else's gun.
I played so much of like shipment 24/7 Christmas in
Modern Warfare 3, the newer 1 and I mean I did well but if.
I remember I got brought back in the World at War.
Yeah, yeah. It was so.
But yeah, that's that's the Remington.
All right. It's.
Brandy, you got another one you want to talk about?
You got another shotgun. No, no, I have.
You have a different list. A different.
Yeah, I know. I see that there.
Yeah, Yeah, I have another one I just thought of while we were
talking the I'm a hawk. Gun.
From Black Ops one. All the trick shot videos.
Dude. It's randomly it bounces like 50
feet in the. Air dude, I was so fucking good
with that. I, me and Andrew, one of my
buddies, he, we were like throwing Tomahawks at each other
only to see who gets hit first, you know?
And we also had one of our other buddies with us and apparently
he spawned in and we're on Nuketown and I was on, I was on
the other side of the map by one of the other houses in the
backyard and I threw my tomahawk in the air.
It went all the way to the other house and hit my buddy.
Jesus. Christ, and I remember he got so
bad. What the fuck?
I don't know, man. The tomahawk in that was great
because it was it was quick. As soon as you press that right
bumper man, it it just went with Black Ops 2.
It was kind of delayed and I think that was on purpose
because it they've been overpowered and whatnot, but I
really enjoyed it in Black Ops one.
Dude, you're reminding me of the bullshit gun that was in I think
Black Ops 3, The nightclaw. My God.
I don't remember that. One, that was what?
The crossbow thing. Yeah, it was.
It was the miniature crossbow in the hand.
And it was, it was bullshit. I got so pissed off at you for
that. It was bullshit because because
it what? You had to get it out of the
boxes. Yeah, you had to.
Get that was the only way to unlock it and I got really lucky
and got the nightclub like Oh my God.
And there's a so he shoots 1 crossbow at a time and I think
it has like a capacity on the 1212 total.
But it's such a fast fighter it. Did, but you could also do the.
The triple triple dirt up upgrade.
So instead of 1 it shoots 3 at a time and you can also like pick
them back up too. What is what is this called?
It's called the Night Stalker. Night claws, just look up some.
Like the crossbow from Black Ops 3, Black Ops 3 crossbow.
And there was also. A knife attachment so.
If I didn't have any, if I didn't have any balls, I would
just be go up to somebody and just knife them.
I hate, I hated you. It's so hard for the longest
time because of that God damn thing and I love no.
Matter what I could do, I could. Not adapt the change of the play
styles like what the I loved every bit.
Of it and the I'm pretty sure like just about the entire like
anybody who didn't have it was pissed off at it yeah, we were
so pissed I'm pretty. Sure, like everybody who didn't
have. It Yeah, OK, so the NX shadow.
Claw. That's it.
That's it. Yeah, it's semi automatic, three
round. Stack yeah with tribolts.
Yep, Yep. I have the tribolts attachment
and also. The the melee attachment, so I
don't know if you. Remember so so instead of like a
pin super. Rare instead of a pinpoint.
Accuracy. I had three.
Bolts coming at you like a shotgun from varying angles and
so you really couldn't escape it's wide array of fire.
Especially because this asshole like to just be.
Butt to butt to everybody, so there was no chance you're
getting hit by all three. That is.
That is my play style. I just like.
To, you know, shove my face up your ass and, you know, shoot.
You heard it here first. We're here to tell talk to you
about your course Extended Force.
Cause like I just noticed that I do really.
Well in close combat situations like I I can flick my my screen
any which way. Like the reaction time is just
fucking insane that I have with that like and I can, I can.
Keep. Really good track of you in a 3D
space if you're really close to me.
Like if you go this way off screen I will turn that camera
as fast as I can to the right so you so I don't move my and and
everyone's just like where the fuck is.
He there was. Very just behind him whispers.
I'm right? Yeah, if if there's a vertical
aspect to the game. And there's a close range
weapon. There's very like very few
people that can keep track of me.
I'm just, I just, I don't know, I have that kind of brain.
Again, it's just it's just the rat brain.
Coming, I mean, plus there's also plus there's also.
Sliding. So you weren't sure if I was
going to be up here or down? Yeah.
Sliding shit. Yeah, that shit.
Yeah. Jesus Christ.
God I love that weapon. Dude, the ceremony.
Or dagger. Oh yeah, that was the fastest.
Fucking melee weapon in the world.
We also used to do melee fights. I think that was 4 though.
No, I I think that was more world or.
Not world that. No, it wasn't world.
It was either 3 or 4. I think it was 3 because they
also had the boxes because that was part of the box system.
Yeah, I remember more. With with World War Two though,
because you had the different damn melee weapons, because I
remember I got the Fireman Tatchet and we were like, what
is this? Well, well, no, because I
remember because World War Two had like the like the the the
weapon skins. Yeah, it had the weapon skins,
but also had. Like a it had the the Excalibur.
Yeah, it had the. The the.
Shovel. I also got pissed off at your
tits too. Stop again, close range.
Is my is my middle name specialty I don't fuck with.
It anymore I'm like, OK, you know what?
I gotta fight him at long. To medium range before he
brutally murders me Help and it's like I'm fighting with.
Medium range, but it's like close quarters.
I'm just like, well, I guess I'll fucking die.
No, seriously, Brandon, that you would hate me?
Yeah. You would fucking get pissed at
me. I would.
In close combat he's a demon. Fucking some of the shit me and.
Andrew would do with like melee weapons and whatnot.
Like see with is it Black Ops 2 that had the boxing gloves?
No, that was three that was that.
Three, that was. Definitely three that was.
Easily three. Yeah, we also had.
Boxing rings on the tree stump. What the fuck we got?
So we did. We did stupid.
Shit in three, OK. Bored high?
Schoolers The. Fucking.
The fucking boxing gloves. I had like those, I think
everybody pretty much had these, the special camos that like I
can make them fucking like like lightning or something like
that, like. Fire and shit like lava.
Yep. And the the dragon scales.
Oh yeah, yeah, they're just some of my favorite.
Camos. Oh my God.
Those were fun. Yeah.
Tomahawk man. Fuck, just dig it across.
The fucking map. I would piss off Andrew with
that tink. Tink tink.
Well, I guess it's my turn then. Nope.
Yes. OK, let me let me bring up the
Gallahorn from Destiny. God, that's such a fun weapon.
Oh my God, it it, it's a. Weapon of a fucking a shotgun
rocket launcher. No that, but the sound.
It makes when your fire is just the hordes of war.
Yeah, I never had it, so I don't.
I don't think I had it. So I don't really know the the
sound. I'll, I'll, I'll play a sound.
Of it after the episode but it just very distinctive fire sound
and then you hit the Wolf Pack around so every every fucking
shot of it is just again a shotgun explosive just fucking
awesome and the ornamentation on it too just everything about the
weapons unique yeah it was a great weapon yeah and and the.
Fact that it was. You could.
Was it double loaded? Yeah, 'cause I, I think in D2,
if you got the the catalyst for it, I think it, I think it holds
two shots. Oh fuck yeah.
Oh my God. Yeah, devastating.
Power. Two shots and.
Then the fact that if if you. Have anybody with legendary
rocket launches around you? They also get Wolfpack rooms.
Oh God, yeah. So it's like as.
Long as you have one person with Gallowhorn, every other rocket
launcher would be a downgraded version of Gallahorn.
It was great when it came back out into D2.
I think I still have it in my. Storage.
I haven't. God, I haven't.
Pulled that out in so long. Yeah, well, it it is.
Just a gorgeous piece of equipment.
And it it it's something that's going to that I'm definitely
going to remember for years and years.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
You're such a distinct weapon. Yeah.
Pretty as fuck, Yeah. Well, mystery thing you.
Want to talk about more the dubstep gun from the Saints Row
4? No serious let me drop the beat.
Blows away. Half the street.
Hey, you see that car? What Car?
OK, OK, but seriously though. The cars would dance and so with
the pedestrians, just anything around you would just start
immediately dancing. And it was the fucking best.
But as a as a 12 year old who loved like EDM and dubstep at
the time, this was pure fucking bliss.
This is the best thing to ever happen to video games ever.
And it was just, it was my favorite gun.
I would just once I got the infinite ammo upgrade for
special weapons, I would just run around the street or just
walk around. Just be like fucking just
walking down the street just shooting everything, someone in
a ward and do it all again constantly.
I would for. Hours.
I would just walk around the street.
See. What's funny is if I remember.
Right, if you've got killed some pedestrians after if you you're
using a dubstep gun, their bodies like yes, they will and
shit and they will still like. Change position.
Yeah, shit. Oh my God, that was so fucking.
And then they would, and then you would stop and they'd on the
ground. But then you would start again
and they would rise back up and start dancing again.
This is so fucking good. Man, God, it's Rose.
Full just. So many gems it is.
It's really awesome. Because in the first mission you
get it that you actually get to play with it.
You're in this like old like 1950s town or whatever.
Everyone's happy go lucky that is.
And you have to like, oh, we have to break the simulation.
Yep. And you get the dubstep gun.
It's just like now just fuck shit up and.
You're just going. You just go to town.
On these like souped up like digital cops or whatever like
these are super cops too in this fucked up digital dimension that
you're like pocket dimension that you're in.
You have to break this. You like hardwire the the
speakers, Yeah, you have to break the major and like you
have to you have to change up the speakers and then you have
to like pretty much go into the mic and just here's my big
dubstep gun right into the mic megaphone just.
Break like, shatter the simulation.
God, it's such. An iconic weapon.
I used. I used to draw guns from Saints
Row Four in high school. Like no middle school, sorry.
Yeah, because I remember like my science binder had like the
dubstep gun had like the Tri blaster.
It was like the, the one with like the purple, green and
orange tubes or whatever. Yeah, yeah.
God I just I I had like 5 guns drawn on that binder and the.
Biggest 1 was just. The dubstep gun I just remember
like looking at a picture, looking at the drawing, looking
at the picture, looking like just making sure every detail
was there, like side profile on everything.
Fuck such. A good weapon, probably.
If I had to rank it, probably top ten weapons in terms of like
design, how it works, just everything.
Plus they had a detail of cars and pedestrians dancing whether
they want. To or they're.
They don't. Or they're dead.
Or they're not. Or nuts.
And there are also different versions.
Of it with different music. Oh my God, you're right.
I thought about that, but instantly for.
Yeah, no, the fucking like there's Oktoberfest, there's
the, there's the metal one. Yeah, there's an Oktoberfest for
some fucking music. I think the isn't isn't there a
Christmas one too? I think, yeah, there's a
Christmas one. There's not like synth wave, but
it's like a purple, purple dubstep gun.
Yeah, but there's also, like I said, the metal one.
I think there's like one, one or two more.
The fucking metal one. Holy shit.
I always. I honestly I prefer the.
Bass 10. The bass one's good too.
Yeah, like just the. Sound like the the.
Music of it just was the best. DJ.
Turn. It off.
It's just the like when you get to that one part.
Of the song where it just goes that drops the fucking bass.
Oh my God. It's just iconic.
Everything about it is iconic. It is such a unique weapon.
And it can only. Really exist, you know, in that
kind of 'cause it's a digital landscape, yeah, in a digital
world, but it's also just Saints Row.
As it was, it, you're right, it was just over the top absurdity.
It was. It was perfect.
It was obviously a shame for what happened to the series.
But yeah, that's that's true. You just.
Yeah, the sheer just over the topness of it is something that
I just missed. Like I don't think I will ever
forget the dubstep gun. As one of my favorite weapons
ever. Oh yeah, ever.
And you can't really top it. No, you can't.
It's. Just it's so.
Unique in a vacuum. It is probably one of the most
unique. If not the most unique weapon
ever conceived. Let's just put epic.
Music on a fucking weapon. Literally speaking, good.
Character. And like, just the way it worked
too. Like it made.
Explosion. There was an upgrade to it, but
you made explosions too, Yes. Yeah, wherever you.
Pointed. That thing gone.
Yeah, like it was strong time to clear the streets.
Yeah, yeah. God, that makes me want to play
Saints Row 4. Better Three 3 is really fun.
I remember just going around trying to like.
See what vehicles could be upgraded and what kind of
upgrades they could put on vehicles.
More so than 4. I did a lot of just fucking.
Around and driving, that's what I did.
Just busted 3. It's so satisfying.
Oh, it is and. And if you're able to.
I got pretty good with drifting. I don't remember drifting.
'Cause if you drifted. Too soon.
You are not too soon, but too late.
You might not cut that corner and you just smash yourself in.
Or. You fucking hit somebody, you go
flying out the God damn windshield like that's OK, I'm
OK. But yeah.
Fucking that's the good the Saints.
Row. There's just so many different
weapons in there. What?
About you Mark, though. Well, any anymore?
Or how about you, Brandon? You get any more ideas?
I guess Mark's the dictator. Of this episode.
Whatever he wants. To do if brain doesn't have one.
I've got 1. I guess.
This one's kind of a quick Saints Row again.
Wow. Probably gonna know which one
I'm gonna say. This is the whole fist.
Got about those? You.
Just bunched up and they go fly. Yeah, fuck I.
Forgot about those. Shit.
Well, it's too late now. You.
Revealed that it wasn't it wasn't yeah no, no.
The. Penetrator I do Jesus.
Christ, I was hoping not the only.
Reason. OK, so what's funny?
I mean, it's, it's fuck yourself.
It's it's it's stupid, OK? It is a dumb weapon.
It's strong. But it's dumb.
It also sends people flying, yes.
I've hit cars with that fuck. That's why the bunk is.
But the reason why, like I I don't know if I say it's like a
it's one of my favorite weapons in Saints Row, but the dubstep
gun that's above it. I'm sorry, it is above it's.
You literally cannot be a. Dubstep gun.
But why I I think about this so vividly?
Is because funny enough my I was playing Saints Row in the living
room and my dad walks in and you know he was talking.
Whatever you. Know and he I got the penetrator
out and it's flopping and shit and my dad's fucking like what
the fuck is he holding? What is that?
Am I? Oh, that's called the
penetrator. He kind of gave me that look.
Like. What?
What are you playing like well? It's it's kind of like Grand
Theft Auto, but not I'd go inspect people with it.
And he's just like, OK, all right.
Then he goes in the kitchen. Damn it.
Oh, that was God. Fucking damn it.
Look how how do. You explain to an adult
intricacies of smacking people with a giant building.
He got a kick out of it though, because I showed him like, yeah,
look at this. You know, he's like, what the
fuck? Like he got a pretty good laugh
out of it, but. It he's just.
Kind of like you're almost 18. You know what's funny?
As I played this when I was like 14, yeah.
Me too SO. Well, yeah.
Actually, wait. No, no I was.
No I was not. No, no, that was my fresh mid
year of high school again. I.
Again I. Was in We were in middle school.
I was in middle school. 6th. Grade science.
I remember that was on my 6th grade science binder.
Who did? Why did my parents let me play?
That my parents would have not let me play it.
But you know, my, my sister, I saw my sister playing it and I'm
like, I want to play that. She's like, OK, but because my
mom is very against that kind of games, you want to know what was
a weird one that my parents. Let me play.
It was Duke. Duke and forever.
For some reason that got passed though.
Here you go, little Timmy. Play this dog.
Shit, it was all because my. Stepbrother saw a monster trick
on the front. He's like, hey, look, that's
pretty cool. Little that I know.
How the the fuck shit that I saw in that game?
I was like, Oh my God, if you know, if you know.
You know, and that's where we're going to leave.
That. We'll leave it.
We're not. We're not gonna.
Yeah, Jesus. But yeah, that's that's just.
Another one I thought of like he's just funny as hell, just
going around spacking somebody with it and the sound awful.
It's like Jesus Christ. Plastic on skids.
I just gotta. Say this, I really hated those.
Like battle challenges in Saints Row Four, I get to go around and
do like the like the Mr. Psychics arena.
Whatever the cat was Professor Yankee.
Yeah, you're talking about like the death game.
Thing I hated those so. Much I was trying to go for the
golds this. Sucked so hard.
I like the. When you throw yourself in
traffic and get hurt, dude, I would fucking get launched.
Yeah, cuz like you're doing like fucking.
Cartwheels and shit. You just hit a car and you go
insurance fraud. Insurance fraud, that's what it
is, Yeah. You just go fucking.
You hit a car if you're going. Really fast, you hit a car, just
go fucking flying into the air. Oh my.
God. You're right.
Yeah, Penetrator. Yep, it's great.
Fucked up but it's great. Dubs gun.
Dub dubstep gun. Better.
Yes, it it it is. Better it is.
Yeah. It's superior.
I I can't lie. It's superior.
Well, I. Guess any other weapons we want
to talk about? No.
All right, Well, I guess. That's it for today's episode.
Everybody. Go ahead in our comments, tell
us what your favorite weapons are, why you like them.
We'll take a look. Try to have some shout outs if
we can, and we'll see you all next week.
Stay tuned everybody, goodbye.
Podbean
