Hey guys, and welcome back to Plug In for Player 4.
Merry Christmas. Holy shit, it's Christmas,
Ethan, say it. Hi.
That's not what I was so. Don't worry, I got it.
You want me to say it? Yeah, I want you to say it.
Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas.
He said it, Mark, I'm going to put you in timeout.
Fuck you, I I gave you what you wanted.
This is what the people asked for.
Merry Christmas, this is not what they fucking asked for.
Merry Christmas. Merry.
Christmas, it's just a week away.
Merry. Christmas.
All right, Yeah, that that that's that cool.
All right. Merry Christmas.
Oh, God. Now he's in a perpetual loop.
Get out of here. Do that.
No, no Christmas, no Christmas for you.
I thought it was. I'm getting conflicted.
Thoughts. Me too bad, me too well.
What has we been doing? We've been at least me and Mark
wizard with a gun. We're going to beat it finally.
It's only took like a year and then you know, if the first half
of the year we didn't touch it at all.
Yes, you guys got to get on that man.
It's almost the end of the year. I know, I know.
I have a feeling it's not going to happen just because the end
of the game is so hard. Yeah.
We're just like the the time crunch now, you know, with, you
know, all the other people visiting and.
Yeah. Yep.
Yeah, let's. See what you guys can do.
But we shall see, and then we're going to move on to Generation
0. OK, very good.
What about you, Mark? Yeah.
What you been that was aggressive?
What what you been up to? Well, well, I think Ethan kind
of explained that pretty well. Playing wasn't able to go with
him. I'm playing games with Emma
here. Hi, baby.
What was that? That was Emma.
My inner. Turmoil.
So you're not listening to Mark, That's Emma I.
Don't. Think you do?
Who am I? What about the listeners?
They don't know who I am. Yeah, they don't.
Yeah. They do.
Whose fault is that? She was on for Halloween.
They don't remember. You do know.
Oh, yeah. He's my wife, Emma.
That's my wife. My wife.
My. Wife.
My wife. I hate all of you, no.
You, don't you? Don't worry Grant, I hate you
more. There it is.
Hey, I hate. You too.
I got you. Don't worry about it.
So that's Christmas. What's?
Christmas. What's Christmas?
It's Christmas, Jake is Merry Christmas, you filthy animal.
Prep the change, you filthy animal.
Well, before we continue for the listeners at home, we're not
doing the usual recording here. We'll usually record.
We are doing a good old over the Internet cause weather, yeah.
Ohio snow. Yep.
Yeah. So we're.
Different than sorry here. So we're doing this so then you
guys can have an episode. The grind is really.
Humanity. All the humanity.
Oh no, won't someone think of the children?
Oh no. I don't know about that, but
sure, sure, we'll go with that. Well, yes, today Christmas, or
specifically Christmas memories. Wow, Christmas.
It's just two weeks away. Christmas.
Oh my goodness, Can you believe it?
It's almost. Now he fucking does it my guy.
We are 5 minutes in. And six.
Days. What?
What? Wait, what?
I didn't hear that shit. As of this recording.
Oh. We're six days away.
Yes. Wow, Christmas just six days
away. I swear to God, car.
By car. By car, yes.
Christmas memories. Just literally self-explanatory,
similar to Halloween, but I'm sure all of it, yes, Mark, all
of so all of us, I'm sure have some type of memories of some
kind. Back in my day.
Oh, oh, Oh no. I don't know about you guys, but
I have very good and very bad Christmas memories.
Mine are good to me. Mine are about the same.
Yeah, good to. I have lots of melancholy
memories of times gone by. Jesus well.
Don't depress the viewers here. Supposed to be Holly jolly, not
humbug. I'll show you humbug.
Oh OK, this is how it get cancelled.
As a disclaimer, we we here at Plug in for Player 4 Studios do
not condone Bah humbug Bah humbugging.
Bugging. Yay.
He's here a plugging for Player 4 Studios to not approve the use
of dictionaries in our writing. We have not prescripted this.
I am so sorry for you guys. We here at Plugin for Player 4
Studios are filmed in front of a live audience.
See, there it is. There's life.
How about you, Mark? How about you share one of your
favorite Christmas memories? I want to defer to somebody else
first. Come in all right while go.
So. I remember get away.
I remember as a kid, we used to always go to both my
grandparents, but my dad's side especially, like it was there
was a lot of kids there. And by kids, I mean like from my
grandparents. And so the Christmas tree was
always. Packed.
Like it was more Christmas presents than than I've ever
seen in my entire life. Every every year it felt like.
But there was one year in particular where me and my
brother were just like opening up our gifts or whatever.
Like we opened up all our gifts and then all of a sudden my dad
and I think my uncle slide out this giant Christmas present.
Like holy crap, who is that for? And I I hear this is for Ethan
and my brother and my eyes are just like what it like this was
a huge present. It was like TV size.
Holy shit. I.
Me and my brother start ripping it open and it was an air hockey
table. It was like.
One of the coolest, Mark, you know what the what the IRA
hockey table looks like it was in the basement for.
Yeah. No, it it was in the basement
for. Yeah, I got that for Christmas.
I'm just like, watch. My mind was infinitely blown.
Just whoa. Yeah.
'Cause I'm like, there's no way such a big present was for me.
I mean it was for both me and my brother, but still.
Like there was just no way it was for a kid.
It was impossible at my age to wrap my brain around that.
And still. To.
This. Day it remains one of my like
favorite Christmas memories ever.
That's awesome. That's pretty the amount of use,
the amount of use that we got out of the Iraqi, we beat the
shit out of that. We we didn't just.
Play air hockey with it either we used this fortifications for
nerf wars at some point. Did we?
I know we had a like a like a basket down there with blankets
in and at one point. I thought.
We used this part of the fortifications we might have.
There was also like the. What was?
It the fucking. Step.
Two tub of toys that we had and we would take the lid and use
that as well. Yeah.
When? When?
We do those nerve fights, that half of the basement, it was
unfair. Yeah, I know there was.
You had you had fucking the trenches on one side and no
man's land on the others. That's.
Cool there. Was a tactical disparity.
We tried to make it fair, but it just was.
It just was not fair. It.
Was like storming the fucking Alamo.
Anyway yeah me like me and my brother and whoever else played
that like beat the we would. How me and my brother played is
we would slam the disc as hard as we possibly could and it
would like probably 5 * a game. Like upwards of five times it
would fly off the table because of how hard we were.
It was flat until it wasn't. It was gone because of how hard
we were hitting it. And we do the same thing with
foosball. There was a foosball table at at
a beach house we had. We would do the exact same shit.
And what's funny with the foosball table, if you hit it
hard, it would go right into the goal.
Jesus, I know this. Is like not Christmas Eve but
like the my girlfriend at one point was like well you just do
this and slam it as hard as possible and it went right in
and we both died of laughter instantly because my point
proven. See it works.
Whose? Ball is the sport of strength.
Oh God. Yeah, biggest gift I ever
received as a child in terms of size.
Holy shit. That's pretty lit.
Ain't go lie. Fucking air hockey man.
Yes. It was fucking lit.
As the. Cool kids say yeah fucking.
Yeah, fucking so you. Yeah.
Oh, wait a minute. Go.
What about one of you guys, huh? What do you Emma?
You got anything? My memories are very skewed.
A lot of my happiest memories were kind of ruined by poor
memories. Oh, I.
Suppose the most funniest memory I have in recent times is my
grandmother and you. I'm sure the viewers don't know
this, but my husband and my father share the same name.
And over the last almost 13 years of us being together, my
grandmother could never distinguish who was who on our
Christmas gifts. And so she would write, you
know, my mom's mark and my Mark and mark refused to do this, but
I wanted him to take my last name just to sew it even further
into being funny. But I'm curious to see if she
does it again this year. It would be funny.
It would be funny that would. Be an epic gamer move, not going
to lie. Yeah, epic gamer Strat Jesus.
Well, I guess for me, one of my favorite memories is this shit
was funny when my besides like having like Christmas with my
folks, like my parents and all that we'd go and also spend like
Christmas Eve with my uncle and my grandma.
And this one year by Uncle Chris, he the presidency got us
were something that we wanted. So I think that year I think he
got me the Star Wars episode 3 and DVD or some shit.
At the time I was probably 10 or 11, I believe, but the way that
he. Did the.
Presents was that gift was under a pair of like, under like a
thing of socks, right. And I remember when he did that
because I remember looking like, Ah, man, shit, you know, But
then my uncle's like move the socks and I'm like, oh, oh, Star
Wars. Fuck, yeah.
So I I thought it was kind of funny.
My brother did not find that funny.
He was kind of pissed off, I find.
That kind of funny it? It was just, it was clever.
Fuck you. You know, you know how much I
wish I would get sucks nowadays. From how much?
Our dog fucking chews through them.
I. Was like I get I get socks and a
movie. Wow.
Honestly, like now being an adult, like if somebody did
that, I'd be like, man, fuck yeah, the socks.
All this movie is really cool, but the socks, yes.
Like. I I'm doing that with.
Underwear I have, I have a lot of socks.
I'm good on socks, but underwear?
Oh dude I I I'll take bro I. Feel that I have boxes.
Of those. I I.
Could definitely say having grown up that I I am shocked at
how quickly I moved through underwear just because of work.
Just like do you? When you go to work, do you shit
down and like RIP so much ass that you just burn a hole?
No, no, no, I, I I'm talking about for the epic project that
when I still worked at Mark's, just the amount of moving around
that I used to have to do, the amount of ripping redded every
pair of underwear of our own I can.
See it straight down. To the individual fibers.
Yes. You just see Mark bend down.
Like. Like my my underwear would just
resemble rags at that point. Like loincloths, they.
Still do. Yes.
That shit was great. You're.
Still ripping ass and ripping through your shorts, Jesus.
But yeah, that's, I'd say probably like one of my favorite
memories, yeah. I can't say I've ever gotten
like a trick gift before. And there's always just been
like the and like none of those, none of those things were like,
oh, you put it in a box in a box, in a box in a box.
I've never. Gotten 1 do.
You want trickiest? Do you want to know what my
family does? Oh no, we.
Are the veteran of of Fuck Your Christmas OK?
There was one year where my aunt and my grandmother and I, we
were all competing for the worst wrappings.
I. Used tithing tape on one of the
gifts side. So like when you're putting a
vinyl on the side of your house, there is like a tape that you
could use to help stick it to the side of the wall.
This. Tape does not RIP and barely
cuts like we are violent with our presents.
And you know, it gets even worse when you had your Christmas
cards and you put really fine glitter or confetti in it.
I've learned my lesson over the years to open it over a bag.
I don't trust anybody anymore. I think about the worst that my
dad ever did to me was he took bolts and a wooden box and he
took a present of mine and literally bolted it together in
a wooden box. Jesus, my God.
Mom. Get the crowbar, yeah.
No really, there was one year that all of us thought it was a
good idea to use like fine milled confetti and I mean there
was like 6 of us in a room opening boxes of just confetti
everywhere. Oh no.
And think about it this way, I have cats.
What do cats do? They track shit everywhere.
That's the last thing I was. Going to say eat it, but that
works too. Oh yeah.
So. You want to play Gifts War with
us? Oh no.
No, I'm good. Mark, I don't think we've done
it as badly to you, no. I don't think so.
Mark is the only ones exempt from the pain.
Fuck this is this is information.
Be. Careful what you receive from
this family, yeah? Yeah, yeah.
Oh God. God.
So wait, Mark, do you have one for Ethan?
One of y'all, I mean none. That I can really recall off the
top of my head because like that was that was pretty much the
only one that I really remember was that.
I mean like I'm sure there have been like other cool gifts in
the past. Like.
I guess. I guess one of the best gifts
that I ever got, besides that air hockey table, was for
Christmas one year we got an Xbox 360.
Which? Is very surprising because
growing up we had stuff like the N64, like this is like, this is
when I was like barely conscious was like PlayStation 164.
And then we got the PlayStation two.
We played the fuck out of this out of the PlayStation two.
And then for Christmas one year, Xbox 360, not the PlayStation
three. I mean, thank God, because the
more I, the more I learn about the PlayStation 3, the more I'm
like, yeah, I'm glad I missed out.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, anyway.
Yeah, we got a PlayStation Three with Black Ops 2.
And then I, I, this wasn't Christmas, but I remember one
day Mark bringing over Halo 4 and doing like, you know, they
had the two discs, the installed disc and the actual like play
the game disc. So we're sitting there for like
an hour or whatever. Me, me and my brother Mark, you
know, like installing Halo 4th and I want like we played.
Then I'm like, this is the best thing ever.
No, an Xbox 360 with plays with Black Ops 2.
Probably the most played game I have on Xbox is Call of Duty
Black Ops 2. I played that for years, both
multiplayer. The zombies.
I played the campaign once, wasn't a big fan but I finished
it. I did the route where you tried
to kill him but he you know, just blocks her gun.
Whatever Ramirez I think his name is.
I killed him. The the.
Amount of sheer hours I got off that game alone.
Especially the zombies. Dude origins Origins.
Best map ever conceived. Yes, well, I guess Mark, do you
got anything? If not I I've got 1.
I like to. Whatever I want to think about
happy Christmases, I like to think back to all the work that
my sister did to really keep the holiday traditional alive in our
family. You know, after, after mom and
dad split, things got really strenuous of just trying to
maintain some sense of just normalcy in our family.
And with mom and dad off and doing whatever fighting they did
or just, you know, focusing on other family and whatnot.
My sister would always just kind of take up the reins for the
holidays and just try to keep up the, the spirits as much as she
possibly could. I mean, she, she would go out of
her way and you know, she was a high school girl.
Just. Going out of her way to write
notes as if they're from Santa and leave them out for for all
of us kids to go out and find and read.
Or she would be doing a lot of the decorating, a lot of just
the the fun little things that we used to do as a family
together. And.
Just she she really tried her hardest to make make bad
situations just seem less so, especially during Christmas
time. And you?
Know it just. Makes.
Me feel happy just just knowing how much she actually cared
because you have being just one of three siblings with just you
being one of two younger brothers and having a sister in
high school, sometimes you kind of expect your sister just kind
of. Be.
Dismissive be Oh, I'm just going to focus on my thing it's high
school. It's my time to start fighting
my life. But she really did kind of take
a step back and focus on making sure that we can still get
through. That's cool.
That's. Real nice, especially with like
with Christmas and whatnot, you know, a lot of people are, you
know, they're happy about the holidays and a lot of people
aren't. Yeah.
You know, it's, it's just one of those things where it's like, I
hope for the for the people that are like not in the holiday
spirit, at least they find peace and something with it.
Yeah, I find some. Sort of happiness, some sort of
little memories cherish and at least try to spend some time
with family or whether it be their blood or the family that
they find. Like your friends or your
family, too, you know? It doesn't always have to be
blood, you know? Yeah, because family can be so
weird. And like that, that's how I've
always felt like I love my family debates, but like I've
always kept my friends closer than my family.
It's just how I've always been like.
It's just I find that I connect with them more.
Yeah. We play games, we fuck around
every day, especially growing up, like every day I would be in
a party chat with Mark, yeah, or whoever was like Nick, Ethan,
whoever was on at the time. Just.
Every day, just try to set aside some time to keep connected with
friends, right? OK.
And like going back to my like my dad's side of the family, the
big side. That's one thing I didn't like.
I always had the shortest. And I still do.
Social battery out of everyone in my family, even my mom's
side. Like as a kid, you know, your
parents drive me there and I'm like, when are we leaving?
When are we leaving? And it's like, oh, soon, we'll
leave soon. Whatever, two hours later.
Like I I just, I want to be home.
Yeah. So.
Many people and I want to be home.
So like. That's.
I know. It's not like the most negative
thing, but like it. For me, it's like it, there was
one time where I went back to that feeling and it was the most
anxiety feeling feeling I've ever had and I don't want to
have it again. That's why I always like make my
way be able to have an easy way out.
I get that, that I understand. I, I'm, I wouldn't say like my
social battery can be short, but I'm like even like Ethan knows
this. I hate big fucking groups of
people. Just makes me anxious as shit.
Can't really explain why it just does be it maybe it's just too
many people or it's like I don't have problems with like loud
sounds to a certain degree, but I don't know.
I'm just just a person that doesn't like being around like
like 20-30 people. You feel like you're like closed
in and shit. It.
Depends on the context for me. Like for example, I play Magic
and I was actually just up at the shop today playing Magic and
it was a very loud Friday for how many people there were.
Like I was like talking over people.
I mean granted normally I'm not one for loud noises.
Like I check out of the conversation like I shut down
like. It's a sensory.
Issue for me, but for whatever reason I was in the moment, I
was living it up and I was like laughing, having a blast.
Oh my. It was so much fun, but yeah, I
know like. For the most part I can't really
do like big groups. Like if I go to the store.
What, during rush hour? That sucks.
Oh yeah. But.
If I go to a concert where I'm expecting a lot of people, sure,
whatever. It's just more so like what I
expect to happen. Well, thinking about it, there's
a really funny fucking Christmas memory from what?
God, 20/20/13. Oh shit, yeah, it's.
It's when the Xbox One came out, so I think it was 2013.
So for Christmas, I asked, you know, for the Xbox One and, you
know, and a laptop, because the laptop I had previously was old
it, you know, it needed an upgrade.
And I remember unwrapping my gifts and I'm like, Oh yeah, I
got the Xbox. Hell yeah.
And I go to the, the next, the, the next gift and I RIP it open
and I'm like, wait, what the fuck?
It was a rack box, like a rack that came in the box.
That's it's box. And I'm like, and I'm just
sitting here staring at this, you know, I'm like, don't be an
asshole. Don't be an asshole.
Do you got the Xbox? Don't be an asshole.
You know, and fucking my, my, my dad's like just open the box,
look at it. And I'm like looking at it.
And I'm like, OK, And I look in there.
Oh OK, here's my laptop. And I just.
Apparently I had just such a dumbfounded face from what I was
told. And like.
Well, yeah, I unwrap this and it's a fucking wreck.
You know, like, yeah, I would have, if it actually was a
wreck, I would most likely have used it.
But I, I don't know, man, that that that was that was just some
fuck shit. I mean, it was funny.
And God, I, I had that laptop. I actually, I think I still have
it. It's just kind of at this point
it's super old now. So trying to work anything on
that is God, even Linux, I don't think saves it.
It was a Toshiba laptop, but I don't know that was that was
pretty fucking funny, man. But The thing is with that
laptop, man, when, when we got it, you know, it fucking had
Windows 8 on it. Oh.
God coming from 7:00 and then having to use 8 God.
OK, I feel like Windows has the same problem that Nintendo does
every other whatever version. Is.
Great. Yeah, just think.
About it, yeah. But I guess the, I guess the
thing I I would think of is is I guess with Nintendo, they're
because I'd fucking fucking Microsoft, man.
They're, I think Nintendo was a little bit more.
OK, what's the word? No.
Idea. A word of a word of a word, I
think. Nintendo.
Just does their OS is more frequently better than
Microsoft. Like I know they were trying to
fix 8 'cause I think 8.1 wasn't awful.
There's still Windows 8, but I just got, I don't ever want to
go back to that. I mean, the fucking laptop,
Like, I remember using it one day and then the next day
Windows wouldn't even boot. And I'm like, what the fuck?
I just get this laptop and now it's being shit.
Yeah, no, yeah, no. It was funny.
I will say I will appreciate, I think it's my mom every year.
We like all the kids that had a stocking, like there wasn't, you
know, big presence in there or anything.
Like it was like little small, like wrapped stuff.
Every year in the stocking there'd be like some like, you
know, small funny gift like I think last year I have them.
I have. Two that are unbuilt but I got a
propeller plane and a helicopter and like these are.
What's called? Makeup blocks and I have six of
them I built for them. There's like a race car, there's
AI think a biplant. The pipeline sucks anyway, like
just you know like little like stocking stuffers.
They're just they're just kind of cute.
I like them got. The stocking stuffers, we had
all the candy that I used to get during Christmas.
Holy, Oh my God. Every year we would get like
those, like those candy canes, and it would be like the plastic
candy canes, but they would be full of like Reese's or
whatever. Oh yeah, I remember those.
Fuck no. What?
Reese's. Yeah.
Well, well, do you have anything?
Well, I have things, but I don't know if I have them.
Yeah, sure. Yep.
What was? The worst gift everybody's ever
gotten. Like either you can.
Or stupid. Clothes as a kid, No, I think
there was one year where I opened up a gift and it was
operation. I never showed any interest in
operation and that that set in. It's like, you know, plastic
covering for years until my, my, my sister and I, or I guess my
sister was like, hey, you want to play operation?
I'm like, I guess I'll try it. Played it.
Once that was it. OK, no.
It's not, it's not one of those games that I find any sort of
replay value in. I'm like.
Especially. When the pieces get stuck in the
board, it just never made sense to me.
It's like, oh, we take pieces out and we try to not get
shocked or you know, you know, have the light light up,
whatever. I mean, the idea is you're
supposed to have the precision of a surgeon, meaning you can't
bump into things like think of it as of having a scalpel.
You don't want to stab the wrong artery.
That's kind of the idea. So you mean.
It's like 10s. Of.
Parkinson's. My God.
I. Have ADHD, I don't.
Get the. Patience for that I.
Shake too much. That too.
But you know, I'm a masochist, you know, I just take the
fucking thing. I do not care if you go off, I
will get the peace out of you. Oh.
I I don't even go for the peace, I just go for the pain.
Like. Like for me, it doesn't even
shock. It's just it, it's just a damn
buzzer that just makes you jump up, like, yeah, whatever.
Yeah, no, that's what it is. It's a buzzer.
Like the the. Dude's nose lights up red.
And it. Makes his nose of his life.
I I genuinely do not understand why I got operation.
Yeah. I get like even even as a kid, I
was like, why did I get this? Like this is when did I ever
ask, 'cause I like, I like the interactive or yeah, like the
more interactive board games as a kid, you know, like sorry or
stuff like that. Yes, where?
You actually get. To like move pieces and draw
cards and, you know, maybe mess up your opponent like that was
that was. That's.
Probably why I like magic because I like to play with the
pieces. Honestly, that would make sense.
Yeah, that would make sense. Emma.
I wonder if I wonder if ours is going to be the same source.
Oh, no. Good.
Lord. Is it from the same person I
wonder? That's what I'm wondering too.
It's very likely of. Course, I knew it was going to
come up eventually. Yeah, lore.
Hooray lore. Jay.
Brandon, Remember, Remember how I have an aunt?
Oh no, it's this lore. I had a feeling.
It was going to be the same person, Mark.
Yeah. Oh no.
Hey. Man.
I'll talk. No.
You. No, you shit your presence out
first. God.
All right, so Emma's aunt. She's a very.
Special lady here. Let me let me preface.
Let me preface this woman, you preface.
This woman, this. Woman, I don't hate her.
Let me say this for the record, I do not hate her.
Now I am a vindictive bitch and I have some things that I want
to say to her. But anyway, she is somebody who.
Let's. Call Crafty.
She is somebody who will spend nickels and Dimes, which is
fine, but she makes and gives gifts that aren't exactly what
anybody would really want. And we actually have a family
tradition of after when everybody leaves, we call it the
pitch party of basically we decide what of her gifts we
throw away. So Mark, why don't you go ahead
and tell her some of the shit that she's giving you over time?
Now I want you to go first because mine will have an even
bigger impact. Oh God.
Yeah. You know.
Honestly, honestly I'll be for real with you.
I've only, I only remember few gifts that Lady has ever given
me. Actually, there was one that I
do remember that I really appreciated.
She actually gave me my first computer.
Oh yeah, it was it was one of those very, very old school
blocky box computers with ACD ROM player.
Like I'm talking this thing doesn't do anything but AOL and
games and I remember playing this one computer game until I
basically burnt the bitch out. Kind of love that computer
because I grew up poor. It was like the fanciest thing I
ever owned. Now the worst gift she ever gave
me. I think it was the one time she
tried to paper mache something for me.
I don't even remember what the fuck it was.
I think it was a frog statue. She tried paper machining a frog
statue for me. It didn't look like a frog, it
looked like a goblin. She tried, I suppose.
I guess it's the thought that counts, but I don't think I've
really ever kept many of her gifts just because they just,
for lack of better words, it was trash.
A lot of those like dollar stores type stuff which is.
Fine, like I'm not knocking dollar store things, like
sometimes you find some really cool shit at the dollar store.
But the problem is, is she buys and makes things that none of us
really have any interest in. And I'm not ungrateful for
anything that I've ever received from her.
It's just, it's not, it's not me, not my taste.
I think there's only thing I've ever kept from her was an
ornament that she made out of Scrabble pieces.
But I mean, you know, I thought it was cute.
That sounds, that sounds awesome, yeah.
It was, it was, it was literally just my name in Scrabble pieces.
But I mean, I don't know, I'm trying not to be too hard on her
'cause like, I know she really puts like effort into things
that she gets people and, you know, she puts her time and her
money into it. It's just.
I don't know. I personally am in the belief of
if you're going to give somebody a gift, make it to what that
person would like, what they would enjoy, what they would use
again, display, you know, that kind of thing that would be like
if I gave. Mark, yeah.
That'd be like if I gave Mark like a like a sewing kit, you
know? That's not, no, that's not like
his thing at all. Not that I would ever see Mark.
I don't even. I don't.
Even think my fingers would be able to manipulate the fucking
needle but it's. It's the principle of match, the
gift to the person. That would be something that I
would more likely give Ethan, even though he's more into
crochet. Yeah.
You know, it's, it's just those little things to me that make a
gift more special and more meaningful.
I still, maybe it's because Mark was still kind of new to the
family, but I still think of the time when she would give him
like treat presents and it'd be like bags of chips, candies.
It would be like sodas. And this was like at the time
that Mark had no interest in any of that. 90% of the time I think
I was eating those baskets. Yeah.
Yummy. Yeah.
The the first couple of years of our relationship, her aunt.
You know, I I kind of wish you would have at least tried a
little bit harder. I mean, she never even asked me
really what you liked I. Know again it was just chips
soda Gatorade which I. Mean is.
Fine, like that's it. It is a thoughtful thing.
Yeah. Mark with somebody who, I mean,
could you imagine my drinking Mountain Dew?
I can't. Mark is not a Mountain Dew
drinker. Yeah, well, yeah.
Lose your sperm, Come. Why?
What do you drink it? Because that's what I'm so
worried about. Man the.
Monetization is just taking. What?
It's crevice. I, you know, I, I have this, I
have the same mentality of if you're going to go out and do
gift giving, you need to at least put in a little bit more
effort to match the gift to the person.
I was like, she could have at least, you know, asked.
What sort? Of things I was interested in
and just Oh yeah, I'll just. Pick up.
Some chips and some food and stuff.
And I was like, you know, I. Again, no knocking that to
people who do that, OK? I don't want to make any
audience members mad by people who do that.
Yeah, I'm just saying at least like, you know, I've been around
for a little while. You could have at least kind of
tried to probe and explore that a little bit.
Like the first year was like, ha, ha, this is kind of funny,
but I understand. Second year was like, OK, it's a
little awkward. Third year is like, OK, this is
kind of getting ridiculous. I've been around for a while.
But you. Know it's, it's not the worst
thing you could possibly get, but I was just like, you know.
With. The amount of time that I spent
around you and your family, she could have at least picked up on
some things. I'm guessing that wasn't the
worst gift though, Mark. Honestly, I don't know what
would be. How about in general?
What was your worst gift? Yeah, I know probably that in
all of the states. I mean, I can say one in recent
years would would have been actually I think it was last
year or two years ago, one of the two.
I got this like dancing stitch. God damn.
Yeah. Like toy.
I'm just like, I, I I never even took it out-of-the-box.
I threw it away after a way too long.
But it's like, yeah, I like stitch, but like, this thing
takes batteries. Why would I want to put in
batteries for I've never under. OK.
I know some people like, like the little things where, you
know, like the little dancing, you know, stuff or whatever is
cute. I get that.
But like, for me personally, I'd never understood it.
I'm not sure if that's my ADHD or not being like, oh, cool.
Anyway, there's something more interesting.
But yeah, I just. Something that wastes batteries.
That's what it was in my opinion.
And it, it sat in my room for, like I said, way too long.
You know, that's kind of one of the things that I question about
like the certain toys they can get for kids.
Like, what sort of replayability value does that actually have
for her kids? Like, you get a big old robot.
It's got the wow factor after. Yeah, for the for the first
little bit. After a while it's like you've
really explored all the things this toy can do, and then it
just sits in a toy chest, never to really be played with again.
Oh, Mark, I like to think of it this way.
You know, I've been a parent for most of my life to my brother.
And, you know, every time I've bought them a present, it's not
about thinking of, oh, well, where will this toy be in six
months? It's more of, oh, this will
bring them joy. It'll bring them happiness.
You know, they'll play with it for maybe a day, maybe a month,
who knows? Who cares?
You know, it's just it's about the joy.
And there's there's a feeling of joy you get giving that gift to
somebody who sees that as like their favorite thing.
Yeah. Like, like I said, that's fine.
Some people like the dancing stuff, that's cool.
It's just for me personally, I'm like, I I just never understood
it. Hey, I can't get past operation.
It's been, it's been probably a decade and I've been stuck on
when the fuck did I ever show interest?
Every single time I've seen operation, like I've had like
the most blank stare face you have ever seen me make.
Yeah. I want a game that makes me
think, For example, when I kicked Mark's ass in Stratego.
Motherfucker, you just got lucky.
You said that when we played Risk.
Mark, you want to talk about Lucky?
Oh, no, bitch. I didn't think you're just
losing your touch here, honey. OK, but I I.
Would totally I I don't know how to play risk but like I try it
once. This sounds cool.
No, Mark seems to think he's the God of all strategy Strategy
games, and thereof this motherfucker here.
If you're losing to stratego, if you're losing to Risk, maybe you
need to re evaluate that title baby.
Yeah, Mark, you're losing to the the stratego.
Oh, your wife even said it all, man.
I'm sorry but I am an avid Monopoly player and I will say
you are losing your touch at strategy.
The. A lot of the problems that I
have is that I really shit at Doug's throwing.
I don't know if that. That's where.
A lot of my problem comes in I. Think you have rotten luck in
poor strategy? Yeah, Mark, get Rick.
You know, next time I play straight Chico, I'll let you
win. These are some fucking fighting
words and shit. My God this is Christmas, not
fucking all out brawling and Jerry Smith just say.
Jerry, Jerry, Jerry just. Took a.
Turn buddy. Gang up on Mark.
He's a terrible strategist here. Just.
Be in this. Side.
I'm going even lower than Mark. I'm going to his big toe.
We. Have a double pumple game.
We still have to do a. What we have?
A double pumple to do. Oh, that's right.
We have two of them now. Yes.
We do. I'm still advocating for one for
each person. Well, when you buy 1 you let me
know. BYOT bring your own tumble that.
Game is so much fucking fun. The viewers don't know what
Tumble is. It's basically reverse Jenga.
You're basically stacking these stupid ass blocks in the most
inconvenient ways you have, and you have blocker pieces.
You have like different positions from a dice that you
have to roll. It's just the most obscene game
you have to roll up. Dice and the.
Dice can either have like hot dogs so you know, it's it's
taller than it is wide hamburger, so it's wider than it
is tall, or French fry where it's just the tallest it could
possibly be. Or you can get like a a white
cap where you can't put it on that white cap or a yellow cap
where you cannot place blocks on that block.
Oh my God. Playing that at Halloween was
fucking hilarious. You can also wait when you get
the T the the the tumble. Can you?
It's any. Position.
Can you just grab a cap instead or do you have to play some no?
It has to be a black block. OK.
I know it'd be funny if you used the thing.
I mean, you. I was going to say you could
make that a house rule. Yeah, House.
Rules. Oh, that's going to be fuckery
right there. Yeah, two of them, Yeah, yeah.
It's like the multitude of Uno decks that I have.
Like it just gets more and more of you have.
Too many Uno cards, I'm sorry. Hey man, you know sometimes you
just in case you ever. Find the situation where you
have to entertain a group of 20 people we.
Got like I can host at least two or three different Uno games at
once. I.
Remember Uno when we were playing when it?
Wasn't as fuckery fucking. Mark kept fucking me, kept
changing for. You God.
Damn color, what do you think? I don't remember the last
Monopoly game I played. That was the double game we
played. Where we each.
Rolled one dice. Well.
If you want to really play Monopoly, I did purchase the
world's longest Monopoly board, no?
My attention. Is.
Insanity. Thanks.
Well. I was going to use AD 20 for it,
so it could be funny. Well, I was going to.
Use my sanity for it. But you know that that'd be gone
really fast. I'll.
Get you your landinum, we'll be fine.
You can. Play for me.
OK, we had teams the one game we played.
I know, and that was the game being Mark one, even though Mark
was bitching the whole time. I know.
Still will. And Scott over here was like,
hey, you want to trade that orange or whatever color I had?
I'm like, yeah, sure. For 500.
Nah, you want to trade that he. Asked like 3.
Times he literally, and I'm like, how about for 1000 he's
like Nah And then the third time, how about for how about
that orange 1500? He's like, Nah, I'm like, it's
just going to keep going up and he just braided it.
I liked the idea of having teammates.
It just it was really hard when you had to try to agree on what
you were trading or what you're purchasing.
It was so difficult to do that. No, I get it.
But like, I would do it again. I really would.
I'd be down. For regular monopoly which?
I do own. I also have Fallout Monopoly for
someone named Brandon in here, you know.
You know I have Fortnite. I have.
Fortnite monopoly. Monopoly.
He wants to play Fortnite Monopoly.
The goal isn't to capture things, is to survive.
If you want to know, I haven't bought a Monopoly board in many,
many years. I have a Cleveland Monopoly, I
have a Disney, I have Fallout. I have Nightmare for Christmas.
I have Star Wars. So has she.
I. Really went to the.
Exchange. There was a whole shelf
dedicated to a monopoly. Yeah.
I saw that last time and I was like, what are we doing in here?
Like, I think that's a little much and that's coming from me.
Got a point? Christmas.
Christmas, OH. My God, it's two weeks away.
Christmas I. Was lost to two weeks away,
sweetheart. Yeah, Quibus, What?
Do you guys want for Christmas this year?
What do I want? Oh, obviously, Steam gift cards.
Same. There was something on the list.
Honestly. Like a steering wheel cover
might be nice, but it's not like something I'm hoping for.
That would be pretty fucking nice though.
I need to do one of those man. Oh fuck, we never.
Had one. No.
Starch for the car. I don't don't get the wing USB.
Plug in ones that heat up. Cool, but man my dumb ass would
leave that shit plugged in by accident.
I can't trust myself. I.
Don't trust you, neither do you? Yeah, I would.
I would be lazy and just keep it plugged in so I don't have to
plug in and unplug it each time and.
Then you go outside and wonder why your car won't start.
Exactly. Exactly.
Like I, I would do that. I, I just, I cannot trust myself
with that kind of shit. Not like I was looking for a new
steering wheel cover but like I I want one that's like something
I like like could be. Like.
Fallout related or Sonic or something but none of the shit
like either doesn't exist or it doesn't.
Look good or it? Doesn't look good, yeah.
It drives me. Crazy.
One of my favorite series is JoJo.
I. Would not be able to find a JoJo
steering wheel cover anywhere in the world.
Maybe like if I go to an event in Japan and they for some God
forsaken reason have like JoJo steering wheel covers but like
that's it. And.
Take us what I found one. Wait.
Wait, wait. Seriously.
Wait. Hold on.
Aliexpress. Is that one from Amazon maybe?
That's hilarious. I'll never be able to find one.
My wife finds one. Yeah.
I can't find like for me personally.
I can't find any anyone that I want.
What are? You looking for Oh?
I was thinking of ones with the character.
Nevermind those those ones characters on them cool.
Oh my God, you just made this man this day at night.
I'm. Just you know what?
No, no. Let me dig my hole.
Brandon. You, Brandon.
What kind do you want? Yeah.
Go right ahead, step right up. I I toot my own.
Horn, but I'm really good at finding shit.
I'm dog. I'm finding stuff.
I guess like if you if you found like find out like maybe like a
fallout one that might be like the like vault boy or some shit.
Got it, Walmart. Actually sells the fun fact.
What? I'm looking at it right now, 10
bucks stop being wait. Yeah, she's right.
I'll do it along with team that's.
Where that has the vault text symbol, yeah.
I could send you this one, it's literally 10 bucks on Walmart's
website. Hang on, I'll send you the link.
Can't you? Find my dad.
Hi, Michael. Mark.
What time do you want Mark? What do you like?
Mark, come on. What else?
What? Kind of steering recover you
want come on I, I, I prefer having fucking remote start in
my car right about now. Remote start stealing recovers.
Come on, remote start steering wheel.
OK, but as a person that got a new car and got a remote start
installed in his car, it's so fucking nice.
You know you. Don't float.
About. It the morning when I wake.
Up I just I just click the button twice and I hear beep.
Beep. Beep.
All right, it's on. My car is on.
It's warming up. Cool.
Now how? About actually, how do my doors
get ready, make my food and I get to go outside and it's
probably warm. Oh.
My God, it's beautiful. See.
I told you, Brandon, I find everything Find.
Anything. You just got to ask, man, I'm
really good at finding stuff. She's got a point.
Just. Fucking defeated.
I yeah, yeah, what the heck? Yeah.
So. Yeah.
That's. Going to look cool in the car.
Yeah, you OK? And it won't be loose.
Yeah, that's my line. I'm sorry, you can say it I.
Don't. Want to?
Know. OK.
Can I say it then? Yeah.
Go ahead, it's ruined. Yeah, go ahead.
Yeah. Wait, no, I.
Just said it now. You have fucked up.
I. Did.
Remember. Modern problems require modern
solutions. Trick your friends into saying
things we don't want to. I steal the real covers.
Sorry. Christmas, Christmas.
Christmas, Christmas. I I, I, I feel, I feel dumb.
Yes. Next.
Question yes as. We should anything.
Else you want me to find for you, Brandon?
That that that I could think of. Not that I can think of.
I think the. Funnier part.
I think the funnier part is Brandon.
It takes a simple Google. It's not hard.
That's not gonna lie to you. I hate the Internet.
I don't know man, you're a party Internet.
Nope, no more. You have a.
Digital footprint we love. Our fucking.
Cabin in the Woods. Yay.
Digital footprint. My data is being sold overseas,
Chris, you know. I'm OK with that at this point,
Chris. Wait, hold on.
Wait. I think I heard that wrong.
Chris. What?
Do you think? Overseas my.
Digital data. What is your?
Dad was being sold. Overseas.
Oh God, what? I mean.
I guess that wouldn't be too hard.
It'll fit really well into an envelope.
All right, You would. Bye.
Yeah, you would. Oh, let's do this for Christmas,
everybody. Christmas.
Yeah. We.
Are so far off the fucking grail.
What do you mean? Not.
On the rails anymore, we are in the fucking pit.
Yeah, with our. Steering wheel covered fuck.
Yeah, Pit Miss. I'm going to be pissed off about
this all night now. Well.
Brandon, I apologize for pissing you off, but I'm happy I found
it for you. I'm.
Happy you found it for me. I'm mad at myself for doing.
The service big. Blind I have good.
Customer service here what can? I please.
Mark, yeah. You never answered the question
What's? That what do.
You want for Christmas this year?
I've. Been saying this entire fucking
time I want fucking remote start for the car.
You got money for that? The day, well, I found out it's
$300.00, so it's never what I thought it was going to be.
God damn. How about you, Brandon?
Besides steering wheel covers, what else do you want for
Christmas? Well, you know, get that?
Nice. No, I know how to find this.
It's the big booty bitches he's looking.
For, I mean, you know, could get the triple B.
Oh yeah? Oh, I guess you're going to miss
the panty raid Panty. Raid, OH.
No. Panty Raid.
The panty raid. We're talking girls.
Right, girl girls. Man, we're not going to be able
to display this on Paramount. Do it anyway.
Why? Would I want?
Why would I want to do business to Paramount?
Fuck them. Here goes the sponsorship.
We were never getting it, yeah. Even if we did.
But yeah, for Christmas, you know, could go for a nice Mac
mini. That's what I need.
Just a $700. Honestly, that's not that bad
in. Well, that's the.
Many. How big is the regular version?
Well, it. Depends what screen size do you
want. There's a good screen.
Version 2. So if you want like the 16 inch
screen like I want, it's like $2600.
Well, yeah, like. The Mac, the MacBook Pros, yeah,
yeah, that's what I want. Like I wouldn't mind they are, I
wouldn't mind having a new MacBook Pro.
But honestly, like at this point, like just looking up
things about the new Macs, especially like the Mac mini,
you're getting like depending on which one you get, because I
think there's AM/4 and M4 Pro CPUs, the regular Mac mini, man,
that that thing is, that's a serious power for its little
little footprint it takes up on your desk.
It's so like it, it's, I want to say it's like super small.
It's not, but it's. It's smaller than what it used
to be. But the.
Here's. Here's another big thing.
How long until you think Apple's going to go ahead and justify
even more price increases because of the price of RAM
going up? I.
Mean, we'll see. I don't know how they're going
to. I don't know what they're going
to do with that. I don't I don't know if they
it's a RAM that they get like that's all soldered on.
So I don't know. I don't think they make I don't
think they make RAM in house. I don't look.
Look, there's a difference between it actually affecting
them and them claiming it affects them.
I mean. Yeah, you'll never really know.
Yeah. So.
I I restate my question. How?
Long actually. You think that they're going to
raise their prices because the Costa Rica is going up?
Probably sometime next year they'll probably give it like.
A couple weeks, I mean. Maybe at this point, who the
fuck knows. Yeah, but now I like I the the
Mac mini definitely now seems like a good like price to
performance then what it used to be.
Not saying the Mac mini wasn't good when it was Intel, but a
lot of people kind of shield away from it 'cause it was like,
you know, it might not serve somebody's workflow or may not
be powerful enough for how much you're paying for it.
Which can be said about their Macbooks and all that other
crap, but but now with them using their own silicon, it's
like. The.
Performance on these fucking computers and the the fact they
also don't get hot. Like a good example, Patrick for
work, he's got an M4 Mac MacBook Pro and his old MacBook Pro for
work used to get fucking hot. Yeah, this.
One really doesn't. It's cool.
It's battery lasts fucking forever even with the intense
work he does. Like God, God damn man.
Like I I give out full credit with what they're doing.
Yeah, like they definitely my God.
Look at even gaming is becoming a thing on these machines.
Like holy shit like they've got some serious power with their
CPU and their GPUs. Like good on you Apple, just for
the love of God please lower your fucking prices on your
shit. Never.
Kind of happen. Nope.
That's. Why I have a lot more interest
in Linux gaming starting to become a big thing.
Yeah. Honestly was not on my bingo
card this year but honestly. Fucking awesome.
That it is. Steam Deck for the wean, but we
are at time well overtime, and that's all right.
Oh. Shit quiz.
Myth. Quiz.
Myth. No.
Christmas. It's only two weeks away.
Die. Hate it only what?
Two weeks away only what? Oh yeah, 2.
Weeks. Away, you say.
There's. No way it's two weeks away.
I can't believe it's here, Chris, just.
Two weeks away. Whoa, it's like next year.
Believe it. It's gonna be a while until the
next one. Did you know that that that girl
did like a a sequel recently? Wow.
What's even funnier is the original she made in like June.
That. You're something Jesus.
I wasn't going to meet her Christmas that she made it.
It was like 2 weeks away at least so I've heard.
I could see it. See what exactly?
Well. You bitch, now what?
What Christmas? Being two weeks away now.
Fuck fucky, yeah. Fucky, I can't.
Believe it, man, I'm going to. Smack them?
Probably. Can I?
Well, I hope everybody has a very Merry Christmas that is not
two weeks away. It's two weeks.
Away. It's 2.
Weeks away. It's not two weeks I am going to
dead man. We're about to go on Jerry
Springer this. This is when we just shut off
our mics and go to bed for the night.
Yes. Yeah, because then we'll be
closer to Christmas, which is 2 weeks away.
Before we lose all of our viewers.
All. Right.
Who's viewing this? Nah, they listen.
We don't have viewers. Lord, have mercy.
We've already lost them after the first episode.
You know, I wouldn't, I wouldn't blame them.
God damn it. All right, we're ending this
better with. Sound quality.
Yeah, I'm. Donald Duck quacking into a mic.
I hate everything. Well, I hate that Christmas is
just two weeks away, all right? So thank you for taking the time
to listen to Plug Over Player 4. Don't forget to wait two weeks
for Christmas. Don't listen to.
Him. He's off his medication again,
Mark. We shall see everybody in two
weeks on Christmas, yes. I feel I made you for a reason.
Don't know. All right, Because it's two
weeks away. It's two weeks, Hey?
Player for you, but everybody be safe out there.
Yeah, and Merry Christmas, you can now disconnect and.
See you in two weeks for Christmas.
Just don't, don't, don't remember.
Just episode. It's bad, it's bad.
It's that good. Chrysler Woo.
Fuck. Fuck your car.
Podbean
